Lovely harbour and beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The High Street has all the necessary shops. Boots Pharmacy, coop, semi chem, restaurants and tea rooms. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday, this is certainly the place to visit.
It was our second visit to Nairn. We flew up from London and then used public transport or walked during our stay. Lovely beach walks with cafes and toilets. Nairn railway station offers regular trains to Inverness and Elgin/Forres. Just make sure you look at the timetable as can be big gaps between trains. Nice station cafe and toilets. Nairn has a good selection of eateries and cafes. We particularly liked the Bistro 'The Classroon' - lovely food, well cooked. A wander around Fishertown is worth while to look at some of the small cute fisherman's houses. The harbour is quite small but worth a walk up to. I think we have 'done' Nairn now so would probably book to visit another part of the Highlands next visit but if I wanted solitude to write a book or work I would happily go back to Nairn :)
Nairn is a calm, peaceful town with a good number of takeaway restaurants and pubs, some clothing shops, a small harbour, and very little else; and almost everything is closed on Sundays. The sea views are spectacular.
Nairn is a lovely town. It has a fantastic beach, a couple of golf courses, a great forest, lovely town centre, not too far from Inverness, Findhorn, Elgin, Aviemore and lots of other Amazing places with lots to do and see Definitely a fab holiday destination 😀
Beautiful beach. Clean, flat, big and sandy. Plenty of benches around. A water tap on the green and toilets close by. Lovely high st. Lot's of various shops, something for everyone. Lovely architecture to. Lot's of different types of restaurants and takeaway. Locals we encountered were all friendly and helpful.
Nairn is a lovely wee town, famous for its stunning beach & golf courses. Still retains some independent retailers, plenty of eating places both eating in or take away. A fantastic place for everyone to visit.
My Husband and I stay here quite often, as it is close to our Daughter's school. On this visit I was on a work trip. The trains to Aberdeen on a Sunday evening are limited. I stayed here, after travelling from Inverness Airport and caught the early morning train to Aberdeen from Nairn Railway Station. the Hotel organised a 0530 breakfast for me and a taxi to the Station. Another great stay at this Hotel with its exceptionally helpful staff members.

Great location, the flat inside is lovely and so much better than a hotel. Lots of nice touches thanks for tea, coffee and biscuits left. Decor and amenities are great, outside front and back are a bit tired and upstairs, occupied by someone else is pretty poor but unfortunately not the Nairnia's fault. Plenty of close by parking, really enjoyed our short break. Thank you Steve and Tracie.

The room we got was large, very good bed, very big bath room and has a good view to a beautiful garden. Everything inside the room is in its best condition and spotless clean and shine. The breakfast is the best among others we stayed during our trip in Scotland. The hosts are very helpful and provided us a lot of advices and information for our visit.
This was our favorite B&B while we were in Scotland. The location is perfect - close to town center and directly across from the beach. John and Rachel made us feel very welcome, and everything was perfect! The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was large with many shelves to store toiletries and things.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean with a window seat overlooking the ocean. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The beach next to the hotel was perfect for an afternoon or morning stroll and had a promenade next to it if you didn't want to walk on the sand or pebbles.

The Royal Guest House was lovely and just as comfortable as much more expensive hotels. The place is immaculately clean, full of character and had nice touches everywhere. The shared facilities were very convenient and clean. We had a nice room with comfortable bed and tea facilities. The location is perfectly central in the High Street with a truly excellent restaurant across the road which Caroline went to endless trouble to book for us at short notice.

We had a fantastic stay at Cawdor House. Hosts Anika and Andy couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly. They allowed us to check in early, and we were able to take advantage of the newly opened Lavender Cafe on the lawn. Delish artisan German breads and cakes! The room was clean, bright and very comfy. Andy is a great photographer and some of his artwork was on the walls. Cawdor House is a really special place
