Lovely harbour and beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The High Street has all the necessary shops. Boots Pharmacy, coop, semi chem, restaurants and tea rooms. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday, this is certainly the place to visit.
It was our second visit to Nairn. We flew up from London and then used public transport or walked during our stay. Lovely beach walks with cafes and toilets. Nairn railway station offers regular trains to Inverness and Elgin/Forres. Just make sure you look at the timetable as can be big gaps between trains. Nice station cafe and toilets. Nairn has a good selection of eateries and cafes. We particularly liked the Bistro 'The Classroon' - lovely food, well cooked. A wander around Fishertown is worth while to look at some of the small cute fisherman's houses. The harbour is quite small but worth a walk up to. I think we have 'done' Nairn now so would probably book to visit another part of the Highlands next visit but if I wanted solitude to write a book or work I would happily go back to Nairn :)
Nairn is a calm, peaceful town with a good number of takeaway restaurants and pubs, some clothing shops, a small harbour, and very little else; and almost everything is closed on Sundays. The sea views are spectacular.
Nairn is a lovely town. It has a fantastic beach, a couple of golf courses, a great forest, lovely town centre, not too far from Inverness, Findhorn, Elgin, Aviemore and lots of other Amazing places with lots to do and see Definitely a fab holiday destination 😀
Beautiful beach. Clean, flat, big and sandy. Plenty of benches around. A water tap on the green and toilets close by. Lovely high st. Lot's of various shops, something for everyone. Lovely architecture to. Lot's of different types of restaurants and takeaway. Locals we encountered were all friendly and helpful.
Nairn is a lovely wee town, famous for its stunning beach & golf courses. Still retains some independent retailers, plenty of eating places both eating in or take away. A fantastic place for everyone to visit.
This is a lovely B&B in a large spacious house which is very close to Nairn's beautiful beach, just across the road and down a grassy area to reach it. All Covid precautions were taken, the whole place was spotless and I felt very safe. Due to these restrictions it isn't currently possible to serve breakfast in the usual surroundings so we had booked a room only rate. However a nice extra was to get bacon rolls brought to our room in the morning so it meant we'd eaten something by the time we left.
Lovely room with wooden furniture and glimpses of sea, sunset and sunrise through the two windows. The whole house has a very friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff. Close to the beaches, town attractions and the bus station. I had an excellent dinner in the restaurant as well, sitting outside. Best accommodation during my 2 weeks travel in North Scotland. Staying here made Nairn definitely worth the extra travel time (as it was not directly on my way, I chose it as an alternative to Inverness).
Sunnybrae is an excellent and exceptionally well managed small hotel in a sea front location in Nairn. This was a return visit for us, having really enjoyed our first visit in 2020. Nairn is a perfect location as a base for a holiday on the Moray Firth coast. We had a lovely sea facing room with excellent facilities and excellent breakfasts. Racheal and John are perfect hosts and made us feel valued as return customers as they did on our first visit in 2020.
Nairn
The room we got was large, very good bed, very big bath room and has a good view to a beautiful garden. Everything inside the room is in its best condition and spotless clean and shine. The breakfast is the best among others we stayed during our trip in Scotland. The hosts are very helpful and provided us a lot of advices and information for our visit.
Location of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was extremely good and included a vegetarian option. It was served by two waiters and one waitress each morning who were professional, friendly and very helpful. A credit to the hotel. All the staff we encountered were in fact very friendly. We hope to return.
This was a great location, easy to find as just off the Main Street in Nairn. Spacious clean apartment, great view of the river. Beds are very comfortable. Good shower and clean bathroom. Very central and close to various take-aways. Would definitely return for a stay in the future. Thanks again 😊

excellent location!! About 10 mins from Nairn train station! Brilliant shower and the room was very comfortable!! I can’t comment on breakfast as I had food in cafés.

While it was a super short visit before heading to the airport it was a great one! We stopped by early to drop bags off before check in time and they were super accommodating. When we got back we ended up chatting with the owners for a good while enjoying the comfortable lounge area. The location is fabulous, very close to the center of the little village. We walked around enjoying the windy roads and ended up at the beach and a small pub. The bed and shower were perfect (always my way of deciding a good night). Very cozy bed and great pressure in the shower! Overall if ever in the area again I would for sure stop by and hopefully get the chance to try out the breakfast next time!
Nairn
What a place! A big wow 10* from us. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, not too hot, not too cold, perfect. A great location, so local to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, station. A lovely walk through a park full of lovely bunnies into town. A&A are amazing. The food was outstanding, the best breakfast I've ever had. I loved the peace and quiet and room so much I didn't want to go out much. If you haven't stayed here yet, you've not lived!
Nairn
The Royal Guest House was lovely and just as comfortable as much more expensive hotels. The place is immaculately clean, full of character and had nice touches everywhere. The shared facilities were very convenient and clean. We had a nice room with comfortable bed and tea facilities. The location is perfectly central in the High Street with a truly excellent restaurant across the road which Caroline went to endless trouble to book for us at short notice.
Location and views were amazing, very friendly staff who made me feel welcome, excellent scenery, food was very good with a lively bar. Overall a fantastic little hotel and would stay here again for sure,
