A nature lover's delight, and a designated site of special scientific interest for birdwatching, here you can also try rowing and fishing, or go on a boat trip. To explore the coastline, and well worth the 40 minute drive, we recommend Bempton Cliffs, Danes Dyke and North Landing - all three are close to each other on Flamborough Head, where the sheer white chalk of the Yorkshire Wolds juts boldly out then drops dramatically into the North Sea! There are a number of activities within a short distance, from the wide flat sands of Fraisthorpe Beach, to the popular Beverley Races.
