The hotel seems rather new and well preserved, so it was a very good experience. We gained free slices of cake and welcome drinks. Good infrastructure, the bedroom was comfortable and had sufficient room for our things. Good bathroom also.

Staff were typically so friendly and made me feel welcomed as I had my birthday up there on my own. My daughter who lives in Sheffield had to go to Manchester after my first day there. So birthday spent on my own...or so I thought. Ellie and Natalie were barstaff STARS, even buying me chocolates and writing a little happy birthday message. The 80's night on my last evening there was just so friendly and I met some new people I will stay in touch with ready for my next trip up before Christmas.

Beyond The Full Monty
Partially within the Peak District, Sheffield is best known for being the setting of ‘The Full Monty’, a film whose title means the whole works. Indeed, vibrant Sheffield has the whole works - excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive sporting heritage.
It first came to fame during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theatre – The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 football teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.
Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodation includes city centre hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guest houses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.
Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit. There's so much to do. It's a vibrant city with something for everyone – gigs, arts, countryside, shopping, people-watching. Very friendly to visitors. Plenty of trams and buses makes car-free travel easy. If you are travelling by car, allow plenty of time because it can get busy at peak periods. There is plenty of safe parking (try Qpark) but it's not cheap.
First time I'd been to a show at the City Hall, and I'm really impressed by the venue. Look up at the painted ceilings. Very comfortable seats, and excellent views of the stage.

The absolute chaos in the middle of town.
The absolute chaos in the middle of town. Why they couldn’t do one bit and finish it before going on to another part, I don’t know. There was only work being done on limited zones so planning could have caused far less inconvenience.
Also, it was very annoying that we couldn’t hail a taxi and had to walk through the cold and wet to get one and be inconvenienced by walking around all the scaffolding etc!
We loved the restaurants, however. Pizza Express was very helpful with our three small nieces and nephew. Piccolino made us very welcome and had delicious food. We also ate at Ask Italian, altogether positive.
The potholes and lumpy roads made driving around very scary.

A beautiful city which despite its past economic difficulties, is recovering & thriving. The old buildings are gorgeous & the regeneration activities seem to be sympathetic to that. The people are lovely, so welcoming & cheerful. I will definitely go back for a longer visit.

Great city to walk around. Lots of parks, shops, activities.
Great city to walk around. Lots of parks, shops, activities. Try Church, Temple of fun for completely vegan good (we are not vegan) but food was fantastic and fun decor. Wilson Carlile for good value for money accommodation and fantastic location for exploring the city.
Excellent apartment for a short city break. Easy to walk to Kelham Island behind the block to explore the bars, restaurants, building styles and the industrial history of Sheffield in the Kelham Island Museum. Easy links to city centre and railway station by tram (tip purchase a tram one day travel pass from the friendly conductors on the tram) For self catering a Tesco Express and larger Tesco superstore all within 8 minutes walk. Internet speed good and quiet area. Hosts very responsive to communication and check in codes provided fine
If you like a quiet, safe location that's the place, townhouse with plenty of space. Really lovely neighbours, much better area to stay then directly in Sheffield City Centre. Fenced garden with lots of privacy. Bathrooms with high water pressure, great. Two sitting areas downstairs, two big bedrooms upstairs, big kitchen with storage. Modern styled and cosy. Quick responding friendly owner Bethany. It's better to go by car there, as public bus service is often cancelled. Don't take a Hotel, you'll love this place :-).
The location of the studio I have stayed in was very special, close to the facilities in the city centre such as groceries, restaurants, cafes, cinema, the train station, as well as universities, also you can discover Sheffield by visiting the museums, galleries and other places which makes this a great and wonderful place to stay.
Everything at the studio is clean, tidy and you can find all what you need. Thanks a lot!
large accessible room; plenty of space for our luggage. They assigned us an accessible room, so the shower was walking and there are the typical safety rails, bars and shower seat. We didn't need it, but it was still fine for us. The decor is old style and a bit dated. But the room was clean and comfortable. Staff is really nice. We've stayed here before and will again when we are in Sheffield.
A great house that feels very separate and secluded with all the required amenities and instructions for use. An ideal Location for exploring Sheffield, Kelham Island and it's pubs and restaurants and a short walk into the City Centre. Quiet area, easy to park and plenty of space. Very clean, bright and tidy with a nice view from the bedroom across the river.
Lovely boutique hotel in a gorgeously leafy part of the City. Staff were super friendly and there were wonderful personal touches such as homemade cake and macaroons left in our room and a glass of fizz at cocktail hour. We have already booked the same room again for when we are next in Sheffield.
Fantastic location, ideal for Sheffield centre. Rooms clean. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Excellent value for money. Staff very helpful. Car parking on site which is great for being so close to the city centre. Rooms are basic, but clean, comfortable and warm. Quiet location.
Second stay here. Great value for money for a quick overnight if visiting the city centre. Rooms are small and basic but are clean and comfy. The hotel was quiet despite it being a Friday night before Christmas. You can pay more for worse in Sheffield if you wanted.
Perfect location in Sheffield City Centre. Parking easily available nearby and the hotel will validate your parking ticket, I think it cost me about £7 for 24 hours parking. It’s what you would expect for a budget hotel, the rooms were clean but basic.
Stylist hotel, friendly staff and really large rooms. My daughter and me enjoyed the self service breakfast, nice to have a waffle maker for something extra to the full English, cereal, cold meats and fruit. Location was great for the city centre.
The budget hotel is basic which is expected very clean and warm with all the necessities available. I work remotely and WiFi coverage is brilliant. All staff members especially Robert offer excellent service and are very accommodate to all guests.
Staff was so helpful, friendly, and kind. Easy to walk to Sheffield Bramall Stadium, right by bus depot, and train station. Room was good. Had some difficulty with the heat , staff helped. Minimal extras but enough of everything you need.
comfortable, clean and cheap. excellent location, being close to the arena and also tram stop into sheffield city centre and the staff were friendly and helpful! was more than happy with our stay considering the price.
Good location for Sheffield City Center and other areas with bars and restaurants worth visiting. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel, but I used the gym which was good, well equipped and spacious.
