The property was very clean, compact and had everything we needed. We were worried that it would be hard to find on our arrival but there were lots of signs to help us find the correct location to steer towards and where to park the car. The problem with the toilet was solved fairly quickly and efficiently. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the access it gave us to some local and very interesting places to visit.

Formally used to house the Cockrels at night, The Cockloft is now a cosy romantic hideaway for 2. Renovated in 2020 the Cock Loft offers a comfortable space to relax and unwind in a unique setting. The sumptuious furnishings, period features and immaculate gardens offer a warm welcome to the wonderful picturesque Wiltshire countryside. On the edge of the Kennet and Avon Canal just a short drive from Devizes and 30 miniutes from the M4. Perfect for a romantic getaway for two, this lovingly renovated and fully modernised apartment complete with private patio area, tennis court and bathtub made for two, is ideal for a break in the Wiltshire countryside throughout the seasons. The Cockloft sits within the original farmhouse of Bourton Manor Farm and boasts enviable views across the beautifully tendered gardens. Access is via an external staircase to the front door. You will be greeted by the bright open plan lounge and kitchen area with its vaulted ceiling, oak beams and tasteful furnishings, this is the perfect area to retire when the evening draws in. bedroom with Kingsize beds and luxurious linens offering a comfortable nights rest. From the bedroom there is a huge bathroom with bathtub made for two! This property is not suitable for children under 12 years
Bishops Cannings is a village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire, 3 miles north-east of Devizes. Quintessentially British with its thatched cottages, beautiful church and welcoming village pub. Free parking available at the property and we are surrounded by an abundance of beautiful countryside walks.
