Located in Salisbury, a few steps from Salisbury Cathedral, Sarum College has accommodations with a bar, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. Location, location, location! Our huge room on the fourth floor (there is a lift) overlooked the Cathedral. Even though we were in the close there was plenty of parking avaiilable. We were steps from the town with lots of shops, restaurants, and interesting architecture from many centuries.

Located in Salisbury, 4.1 miles from Old Sarum, The Old Railway Hotel provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a garden. I absolutely love this inn. To start - we arrived much later than anticipated and the hosts drove up to meet us and get us settled in within 5m of our arrival. They were warm and welcoming, pointing us to some local attractions in the town and told us some of the Inn's history. The beds and bathrooms were wonderful. The bathroom in our suite is bigger than our kitchen at home! In the morning we enjoyed a great breakfast - an assortment of cereals and juices, and the BEST cup of coffee I had during our entire European holiday. When I thought we were done, the host brought out a large tray of freshly baked pastries to our table. I really appreciated the sense of privacy we had - all our windows overlooked farm fields and countryside.

A very hospitable small city with very nice walks, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The cathedral is worth a visit, and enjoy the ambience of the cathedral close early in the day or evening, when the day trippers aren't there. A trip to Stonehenge by bus can be booked locally with The Stonehenge Tour.
Cathedral is is the most important attraction but you have to pay to in. Very pretty place to just walk around in and eat out. Good location to see other attractions outside such as Sarum and Stonehenge if you have a car.
A functional room with the usual facilities, including a super-powerful shower. The breakfast was excellent (once I'd worked out how things operated as no one explained) but all in all, great value for money.
We know Salisbury well as we have family there and we always have a good time. The city centre is pleasant to walk around as it is mostly pedestrianised and it's easy with kids, lots of cafes. There is a market with nice stalls to browse, I bought a vintage shirt for my daughter. The cathedral is worth a visit and we saw the Grayson Perry exhibition. The cathedral close has other museums too. You can walk through the water meadows to a pub. We went to the Odeon cinema too which is in a very old building.
The beautiful cathedral and its surrounding 'Close' are the city's biggest attractions, and are very attractive indeed. The city centre has maintained its charm and a fairly 'old fashioned' English feel by not permitting ugly new buildings or developments, and the pedestrianised areas are useful. The city centre has a relaxed, safe and relatively 'laid-back' (unstressed) feel about it, with very little car traffic and many independently-owned shops. Several (but not many) medieval buildings remain. A very enjoyable place to spend one day or two days on a city break, not many visitor facilities or attractions apart from the cathedral, some nice walks (e.g. along the water meadows) and a few historic town houses to visit.
The Cathedral is a great place to visit Punting in the river with Ollie from the river alongside the Rose & Crown Hotel. Ollie was friendly and knowledgeable, thoroughly enjoyable hour long trip. The Cosy Club great for cocktails and small plates of food. Tinga also great for cocktails. Driving around Salisbury is a nightmare
Salisbury
Lovely place in a pleasant little town outside of Salisbury. The staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. Nice sunny courtyard outside the bar to have a pint or two. The room was very nice with a window that looked down on a quiet pedestrian lane. I parked right outside the front door of the hotel, although I could have left the car across the street in the town car park without a problem.
Salisbury
Parking was prepared for us as promised - it's a very short walk away from the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. For £80 p/n it was great value. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, high spec and spacious.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Close proximity of the old Mill Hotel was ideal for eating in the evenings. A nice quiet location within easy reach, via a pleasant walk, of the city centre.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean hotel and room. Lovely breakfast and brilliant choice, best eggs benedict I've had 👍 5 min walk from Cathedral, shops, and restaurants. Plenty of hotel car parking at a cheap rate.
Very good central location and staff. Nice breakfast. Overall the location of this hotel, convenient to everything a visitor should see, makes it a first choice, in Salisbury, in the absence of anything better.

Self check in was very easy. We didn't meet anyone there at all. Very smart way to run a property and we liked it. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was in decent size and away from other rooms so very quiet. Big kitchen and has all the kitchenware we needed.
