We loved walking around the city. There is so much fabulous architecture and people's gardens were lovingly kept too. The Cathedral was a great place to visit. The riverside walks and the wildlife belied the fact that we were in a city.
Lovely city with everything within walking distance. Cathedral and Old Sarum definitely worth visiting. Good mix of high street and independent shops. We also enjoyed a day in Bath and travelled there from Salisbury train station.
Salisbury is an old city with lots of history and a magnificent cathedral. Lots of places to eat and lots of shopping. I particularly liked the Chapter House for an evening meal. It has a wonderful old feel to it, and the food that I had was really enjoyable. There were many old quaint pubs with beautiful gardens. I found the town easy to walk around without getting lost
A lovely town with nice people, an amazing cathedral, good restaurants and easily accessible and beautiful countryside. Of the towns we visited in the UK on this trip, I especially enjoyed the ambiance in Salisbury.
Absolutely beautiful town. Easy to get around. Very nice shopping facilities. Cathedral well worth a visit - the Eucharist held at Pentecost was fantastic. Wonderful choir. Lovely pubs and surroundings. Great places to eat. Very friendly people. We all loved it
We were house hunting and used this as a base to explore. Nowhere in the immediate area satisfied our needs and we left. Salisbury seemed a tired city and apart from the cathedral was of limited interest to us
Salisbury
We love this hotel. The location is simply gorgeous. However the rooms are a little tired in places and it needs some investment. We appreciate how difficult the last couple of years have been though for the service industry. Changes need to be made to breakfast. Very disappointing. It is all self service andt food is cheap and is not tasty.
The breakfast was very good , and Georgia and Jake provided very friendly and helpful service. The hotel is very well located for the city centre. The complimentary drink in the bar was nice. The Orchard Cider was good . The hotel had character. The bed was comfortable though small.
The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. There is a good sized car park too. It was clean and comfortable and all the staff we dealt with were excellent. Dinner and breakfast were very nice too. I also think the value for money was good.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Close proximity of the old Mill Hotel was ideal for eating in the evenings. A nice quiet location within easy reach, via a pleasant walk, of the city centre.
The hotel is very unique and next to Salisbury cathedral. There were fans in the room thankfully, even though the August temperature outside was moderate, it was stuffy in the rooms.
The reception is very friendly. The king size bed and room were spacious and comfortable. It's a pet friendly hotel, which can be a plus if you want to bring your dog.
