Company info

My wife, Lisa, and I have lived and farmed at Coddy's Farm since 2000. The farm was originally owned by my Grandparents, then my parents, Brain and Lorraine. We share our busy farm with our 2 daughters, Anna and Emily, sheep dogs, a herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle, flock of sheep and free range laying hens.

Property info

Located in Pennine Yorkshire, with the Peak District on our doorstep and stunning views across the Holme Valley a warm Yorkshire welcome awaits when you stay on our working farm.  After a scrumptious home made breakfast made with fresh ingredients, many from our farm, fill your days exploring the countryside, take time to learn a new skill with seasonal cookery and butchery courses or join Andrew for a hands on muddy boot tour of our farm.

Neighborhood info

Whether it be a guided hike across the Marsden Moor Estate with the National Trust, a tour of Ashley Jackson's favourite painting locations or following the Blue Plaque trail in Holmfirth town centre, the beautiful Pennine hills are waiting to be explored.  For the more adventurous the Peak District National Park and Pennine Way are on our doorstep.  We lend OS maps and offer local knowledge to help you to plan your own journeys. Cycling is also big in the area with the 2014 Tour De France passing through. For something a little different try a horse and carriage ride or star gazing at the Huddersfield observatory. There is an abundance of good local food in the area.  Our farm produce can be purchased from our farmshop. Local produce is showcased each year at the town's Food and Drink festival which runs in September and the Nook, a cosy pub in the centre of Holmfirth host beer festivals twice a year.  Holmfirth, our nearest town and famous for Last of the Summer, has a film setting bus tour and museum as well as the Picturedrome which host gigs throughout the year. Holmfirth Vineyard is only a 10 minute walk from our doorstep.
