A recently refurbished 200 Year old listed cottage with an enclosed private garden, situated in a quiet area of Markinch (Fife). It is perfectly placed for exploring Fife (35 min drive to St Andrews) and all that it has to offer. It is near to the train station (15 min walk) for travelling to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The cottage is perfect for a family or a couple. It sleeps 4 (5 if using the sofa bed) and has off street parking for 3 cars.
We have a young family and we love to holiday and explore different areas. We also have holiday rentals which we have renovated to a high standard whilst still retaining original features. Self check in using a key safe with code provided. We live in a near by village so can help with queries during your stay if required.
Markinch has a train station for exploring further afield. There are beautiful walks nearby in Balbirnie park and within the grounds is Balbirnie hotel with its restaurant. In Markinch centre there are small supermarkets, pubs and a restaurant. Falkland is a 10 minute drive away with its Palace, country walks and Outlander filming location. The home of Golf, St Andrews, is a 35 minute drive. Close to Balbirnie House Hotel. There are excellent train links to Edinburgh or Leuchars (near St Andrews) There are also regular bus links.
