The cottage is lovely! It certainly has the ability to take your breath away when you first walk through the door. Clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet. The cottage suited our needs and requirements.

Filbert cottage is a beautiful two bedroom cottage set in the middle of Kent, with its own large orchard garden. Both bedrooms have king beds, with an additional sofa bed in one room (which is made up upon request prior to arrival). It has a large open plan kitchen, dining area, living room with log burner opening up to the spectacular garden. There is access to a tennis court (9am-11am each day), secure parking and its own private entrance.
We live in the main house, so we are available via whatsapp if our guests need us. We will be there to greet guests when we can, but if not we have a key safe outside the house and we'll let you know the gate code. During the week you may notice some excitement over at our house, as we sometimes have photoshoots. Often companies takign pictures of furniture, but you can sometimes spot the odd celebrity having some snaps taken:) In all seriousness though, we just like to mention it - but it doesn't impact the cottage at all.
The area of Cranbrook is simply stunning. The countryside surrounding the cottage is breathtaking, there are beautiful villages, pubs, walks and idilic towns such as Tenterden a few minutes away. Sissinghurst national trust, Biddenden vineyard, Chapel down vineyard, Bodiam castle national trust and many more amazing places are only a short 10/15 min drive away. There are lots of walking routes, one takes you to the local village pub. There are always lots of cyclists. I would certainly recommend a car for getting here and being able to explore further afield. It's only 20 minutes to the coast.
