Fishtail House is an handsome Victorian villa minutes from the sea and named after the unique fishtail appearance. The house retains many of its original features such as bay windows and cornicing and has been lovingly restored to offer offer welcoming holiday accommodation. The comfortable, ground floor Apartments; Wade and Cherry, have kitchenettes (microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, please note no cooker due to fire regulations) ,beautifully appointed lounges, bathrooms with showers and private terraces. The house sits on a quiet corner plot opposite the park just 50m from the seafront. A delicious breakfast hamper option is available with a variety of fresh, chilled and bakery products for those looking for a bed and breakfast option. We welcome up to two well behaved dogs. The Suites have King beds but if requested prior to arrival a futon / sofa bed can be made available for use in the lounge. For a special occasions break we can put flowers, chocolates and prosecco in the Apartment prior to arrival to suit your budget. Special weekly rates also available.
Anna and Simon look forward to welcoming you to Fishscale House. We have been in the hospitality business for over 16 years, previously running a guest house in Scotland and before that working in York. We are keen walkers and like our food so can direct you to the best of the locals favourites for dining and days out in the Hornsea area. Anna is a member of a local sea swimming group and would be happy to accompany guests who would be keen to try. Simon , Yorkshire born and bread, enjoys bowling and biking in the peaceful and flat lanes around Hornsea. We know how important holidays are and are passionate about the area and the house so will do everything we can to make sure you have the best time possible, from the initial booking to departure. We look forward to meeting you.
Fishtail House is localed on a corner plot in the Heritage area of Hornsea. The Heritage area has many impressive Victorian and Edwardian houses which have been restored and maintined in keeping with the era they were built in. We are opposite the beautiful Memorial Gardens which are lovely at any time of year and only a short 100m stroll from the seafront. The shops and restaurants of Horsea High Street are only a five minute walk away. Free on-street parking is availble on the streets around the properly.
