There were many choices, all of them great. Guests can choose a hearty breakfast or a simple one. I went for a lighter meal and it was perfect and nostalgic.

Company info

My name is Carol and I've run the Jolly Farmers for nearly 25 years! I love welcoming guests to the Eden Valley and hope you love it here as much as I do. It's very much a family run guest house, you may even have my 3 year old granddaughter Ellie serving your toast!

Property info

The Jolly Farmers Guest House was an old coaching inn and used to belong to the local manor house. The old Estate Manager’s House is now the dining room and the old barn in the back garden has been converted into a cottage. Twenty-five years ago the main house was in fact a pub and many local people can remember enjoying a drink there. Now a guest house, you can sample the same hospitality at The Jolly Farmers today. Come and stay with us and see for yourself!

Neighborhood info

Kirkby Stephen primarily hosts walkers on the Coast to Coast walk. However, we're also ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park or the Lake District National park. Whether you're into walking, biking, exploring, history or just meandering around lovely towns and villages, we've got plenty for you to explore.
