Sedgewell Barn is run by husband and wife team, Stuart and Catherine Tweddle, between them and their daughters, they run Sedgewell Barn along with a friendly and helpful team. Sedgewell Barn is located within 60-acres of rolling countryside in the heart of rural North Yorkshire. The site is home to deluxe glamping pods and The Nest, a beautiful, luxury one-bedroom country cottage. It is also home to the family's small farm, including Pedro the pony, Mr Fuzzy Face and his Valais Blacknose Sheep friends, and the family dog and cats!

For the most romantic break in Yorkshire, book into The Nest at Sedgewell Barn. Tucked away in a quiet part of our idyllic farm, The Nest features a private outdoor hot tub, fire pit and outdoor dining area which overlooks the stunning North Yorkshire countryside. The hot tub is situated in a private outdoor area with al fresco dining area and firepit/BBQ (logs provided). The front door leads straight into the well equipped country kitchen / dining area with the stairs leading to the sitting room, which has beautiful views over rolling North Yorkshire countryside. This leads into the bathroom which features a double-ended roll top bath and wet-room rainfall shower. The romantic bedroom with it's king-size bed and feature headboard provide the perfect place to rest your head after a hard day of relaxation. A must for nature lovers, located within walking distance of our local village pub. If you fancy a day or two taking it easy, there’s plenty to do close by including the market towns of Northallerton and Bedale.

There are many public footpaths to explore from the glamping site, or for those wanting to head a little further afield, there's Sutton Bank or Osmotherley to explore. There are bike racks on site for guests wanting to explore on two wheels, with road cycling being very popular in Yorkshire following the Tour de France Grand Depart! For days out, Sedgewell Barn is located 2-miles from Northallerton train station with regular trains to Durham and York. A short drive away is Newby Hall & Gardens, Middleham Castle and the World of James Herriot. Or for our younger guests there's Big Sheep Little Cow Farm, Lightwater Valley or Stockeld Park, all a short car ride away.
