Markham Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion situated in the town of Weymouth in Dorset in and benefits from one level access and a terrace. The cottage can sleep 4 people in 1 double and 1 twin single bedrooms as well has a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen/dining/sitting room. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 1 car. Markham Cottage is perfect for couples quiet retreat short drive from town centre. Note: Access to Markham Cottage is via a slope which can be driven down, or you may choose to walk. The neighbouring field next to the front terrace is at a lower ground level, the terrace has a small surrounding wall.

Neighborhood info

Wyke Regis sits on the south western side of Weymouth and the northern edges of Portland harbour whilst reaching as far as the back of Chesil beach and The Fleet. 2 miles from the centre of Weymouth. There are local shops, cafés and restaurants including The famous Crab House café, with it’s own Oyster beds on the doorstep. The National Sailing school, an Olympic legacy, offers a wide variety of water sports and is just 2 miles away on the edge of Portland harbour. The Fleet lagoon that runs between Wyke Regis and Chesil beach is an important area for wildlife and there are many species of birds to be seen in the area. Chesil beach is also a renown spot for fishing. The Fleet is probably most famous for being the testing ground for Barnes Wallis’s bouncing bomb, immortalised in the film the Dam Busters. Wyke Regis is the perfect location from which to explore many of Dorset’s most iconic locations on the Jurassic coast.
