Located only 4 miles from Edwinstowe, Poppy Annex is a newly renovated one bedroom annex which is attached to our beautiful bungalow in the picturesque village of Wellow in Nottinghamshire. Don't let the word annex make you think this is small, Poppy Annex boasts a separate kitchen, dining area, living area, bedroom and huge wetroom with plenty of space for you to relax and unwind after a busy day. It really is a home from home. There is also a driveway to allow for offroad parking for at least two cars. There is a completely separate entrance to the annex so you have all the privacy you need. Upon arriving at Poppy Annex, there are two outdoor steps to gain access to the property. Should you wish to bring your bikes with you, you are more than wecome to store these in the dining room of the Annex without comprimising on space. Poppy Annex is bookable for a maximum of two guests, providing a spacious and modern environment for you to sit back and enjoy the nature around you. Local Attractions Sherwood Forest (explore where Robin Hood lived and see the famous Major Oak Tree which he called home) - 4 miles Edwinstowe - 4 miles Thoresby Hall & Courtyard (hosts lots of different festivals) - 4 miles Go Ape (Sherwood Pines including activity trails, play areas & biking trails) - 6 miles Historic Newark Town Centre - 12 miles Newark Showground (hosts lots of different festivals/ events) - 15 miles Hazel Gap Barn (wedding venue) - 6 miles Thoresby Riding Hall (wedding venue) - 4 miles Please note that there is no smoking, naked flames (including candles) or vaping allowed within the property.
Poppy Annex is located in the picturesque village of Wellow which boasts a village green with a permanent maypole which the children dance around at the end of May each year when we crown our May Queen. There are two friendly village pubs, The Red Lion, serving delicious home cooked food and real ales, and The Maypole bar and bistro, serving delicious cooked breakfasts, coffee, cocktails and gourmet meals. Only a short distance from Edwinstowe (4 miles), Sherwood Pines, Rufford Abbey, Thoresby Hall, Newstead Abbey, Clumber Park and Center Parcs, making Poppy Annex the ideal base for exploring everything the area has to offer. Sherwood Forest is renowned for walking and cycling. There are two supermarkets two miles away in New Ollerton.
