With easy access to the South West Coast Path, nearby pubs, and scenic train links to St Ives, it’s the perfect Cornish escape.

To the west of the Hayle River is the charming village of Lelant; it is located next to the RSPB nature reserve and is only short walk from the dog friendly beach Porthkidney as well as Cornwall’s oldest golf course. This delightful village has a variety of independent shops, restaurants and pubs such as The Badger Inn. Or eat ‘at home’ and try the fabulous Cornish Food Box.
Take in the stunning views of the Cornish coastline with the fantastic walk over to St Ives or take in the views by train. Spend an afternoon being inspired by some of best-loved British artworks of the twentieth century whilst overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the Tate St Ives. Head to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and see where this famous artist lived, worked and created her stunning pieces.
For a fun filled family day out take a short drive over to Paradise Park; it has over 100 birds and animals and is also home to the World Parrot Trust. End the day by heading back to St Ives and grab an amazing dinner at Blas Burgerworks.
Close by is the iconic Carbis Bay beach is one of the best family beaches with most needed facilities on the beachfront. A range of ocean-based activities may be taken at The Ocean Sports Centre on Carbis Bay beach.
A trip to Cornwall is not complete without a visit to St Michaels Mount; a picturesque island just off the shore at Marazion and accessible by causeway when the tide is low, or by boast at high-tide. Located just fifteen minutes from St Michael's Mount, you will find Godolphin House, a Tudor and Stuart mansion with a historic garden and one of Cornwall's best kept secrets. Surrounded by formal medieval gardens, orchards and bluebell woods, the impressive six-bedroom mansion can be visited during the first week of every month. The gardens are open to visitors from March to October.
