The Beach Club, hotel in Penzance

Facing the beachfront, The Beach Club offers 4-star accommodations in Penzance and has a shared lounge, terrace and restaurant.

Location was great. But the hotel has two buildings that houses the rooms. The first building has wonderful views and amazing rooms, as advertised in the photos. But the second building is a lot more run down, smaller room and no views at all.

Artist Residence Cornwall, hotel in Penzance

The unique and original rooms at the 17th-century Artist Residence are each uniquely designed in an eclectic, rustic style, with a curated collection of limited edition artworks throughout.

*Excellent location for exploring Penzance with lots of nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The pub opposite (The Admiral Benbow) was full of character and had some great local beers on tap. *The room was well appointed and the furnishings were of a high quality. The building was old, which meant steep stairs and uneven floors, but that wasn't an issue for us. Loved the coffee machine and the bathroom products. *Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant, but it seemed popular, and the bar was very welcoming.

Penzance is a great place to stay as base if planning to explore the region. Plenty of restaurants and shops, just be mindful that in Cornwall everything closes early! Is nit crazy pretty as other towns BUT is very convenient and cheaper than most.

We stayed there for 2 nights before, and one night after, a week in the Scilly Isles. Would like to return for longer, Loved the prom and the walk to Newlyn, also the, very frequent, bus to Mousehole. There were other places we would have liked to go to, a sculpture park, St Michael's Mount, a National Trust Garden, but no time. Wide choice of eateries. We used the Taj Mahal and The Admiral Benbow, both excellent. There were bikes for hire (Beryl bikes) but they seemed to be very expensive. There is a Lidl which seemed to have the same prices as elsewhere, ditto the small Co-op.

DONT go to Penzance !!! i went for a walk around about 4pm I FELT SAFER WALKING AROUND ISTANBUL ON MY OWN. Penzance is full of drunkards and druggies Plenty of evidence of used needles ,even at 4 pm The bus station didn't even feel safe. PS.I live in Manchester not in a rural village The locals told me they only visited to use the supermarkets on the edge of town

A town full of history, and good places to eat - and easy reach of other places around Lands End and the Lizard. We ate at the Turks Head and the Bakehouse (both had great menus and were dog friendly) and our hotel. We also went to Falmouth and Marazion to eat. The Penlee Gallery was really interesting (current exhibition especially) but unfortunately not dog friendly so viewed in instalments. Park and Gardens enjoyable (we were mostly lucky with weather). We would have liked to go to the Scilly Isles but too full on the day we asked. Booking in advance needed!

Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides! Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant. For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide. Go to St Ives by train - the view from St Erth into St Ives is breathtaking !

I really enjoyed my two nights in Penzance, staying at the Estoril. The hotel is perfectly situated, less than 5 mins walk from the promenade and the main rail and bus station are only 800 m. Newlyn is also walkable - a mile - and the Land's End Coaster bus stops at the end of the road. The Morrab Tropical Gardens are also worth a visit. Lovely room and hotel with lots of character.

Situated in the lovely Penzance just minutes away from the bay, it’s the perfect spot for a few nights stay for those who wish to explore West Cornwall. The facilities were excellent and the breakfast was great too. Parking was possible in front of the house on the road and convenient to travel to/from. The beds were great and would definitely recommend others to stay here too.

Very friendly hotel. Felt welcome from the moment you arrive. All staff are an absolute asset to this establishment. Nothing was too much trouble. It doesn't matter what other restaurants are in Penzance. Use the restaurant within the hotel, the food is amazing from a very talented chef!!

The room itself was gorgeous and up to standard for a boutique hotel. I was stunning views of the sea on the first floor and was very cosy.
