Located in Bodmin, 19 miles from Newquay Train Station, Bodmin Jail Hotel has accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We liked the room size and the bathroom size and fixtures and the very cool architectural adaptation of the space. Also, the staff were very hospitable and helpful.

Hotel in Bodmin
Located in Bodmin, 23 miles from Newquay Train Station, St Tudy Inn provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. We stayed here over the weekend when our friends were getting married in Rock about 20 mins or so away. St Tudy Inn have got it absolutely spot on! From the moment we got there we were looked after SO well! It was a very friendly welcome from the staff on arrival and there was really relaxing acoustic music on in the background in the bar/restaurant which helped us completely calm down after a long journey. We loved the decor throughout; country modern featuring work by local artists and log fires 😍 Everything was pristine clean! We slept really well - the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were of good quality. The room had everything we wanted. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We had the full English on the first day and the next day we had salmon and poached eggs. It was all very fresh and well presented and really added to our conclusion that the stay as a whole was good value! The location was perfect - it was a small and authentic feeling village but with beautiful beaches and other towns nearby such as Polzeath, Rock and Port Isaac. The staff were really good people who cared about us and what they were providing for guests. They absolutely and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. We will definitely go back (we plan to in the winter when the cosy log fires are on if not before!) and have already recommended St Tudy Inn to our friends.

Hotel in Crafthole
Located in Crafthole, a 10-minute walk from Finnygook Beach, Finnygook Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. My wife and I and our dog were delighted with our stay at the Finnygook Inn. We spent one night on our hike along the Coastal Path. We arrived in the late afternoon and settled into a clean, tidy, and spacious room with a lovely view of town. The room had a mini fridge, coffee machine, hot water kettle, and the bathroom had a tub. We enjoyed an exceptional, memorable dinner in the Inn's restaurant, where the bar was bustling and the dining room was full, and each dish we ordered was delicious. After a good night's rest, we departed in the morning. We are especially grateful for the chef's generous gifting of a breakfast sausage to our puppy, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely return.

We had a lovely second visit to Tintagel! Yes, we returned to Tintagel, and why not? A village that has it all - excellent food (King Arthur Arms, Cornishman Inn), spectacular views, King Arthur's castle, Merlin's magical cave, & a feeling of the knights of the round table in the air. Another historic site in Tintagel is the medieval post office, a must see. Everyone, locals & visitors, are extremely friendly & will strike up a conversation in a heartbeat. (My kind of folks). Tintagel is a walk in time that is not to be overlooked on a trip to Cornwall.
Ancient former capital of Cornwall. Charming walkable tiny city with several magnificent churches, and the remains of Launceston Castle set in glorious countryside. Stayed for for 4 glorious days in The Eagle house boutique hotel where we lived and ate in the18th manor house like pampered landed gentry adjacent to Launceston castle.
Great relaxed break, friendly locals and lovely restaurants. We went to The Stables pizza restaurant which is great to watch the sunset from, big windows overlooking the sea and really tasty pizza. The town seems very dog friendly, walking on the beaches most people have dogs, nearly every pub/restaurant has at least one customer with a dog, all nice friendly dogs. We flew to newquay airport which was great, it’s a very small airport and quite calm to go through, then we rented a car and Newquay town was about a 10min drive, very simple. The only negative I had from this trip was driving around Cornwall was a bit stressful for me, the terrain is very hilly and I’m not used to driving up such sharp inclines and there were some crazy junctions with poor visibility because of these inclines.
Falmouth is a great place to enjoy a family break as well as for couples. You can enjoy the full spectrum of town life, shopping and it’s working maritime heritage, the restaurants serving some of the finest cuisine from all around the world or escape (sometimes virtually walking distance) into rural Cornwall and the magnificent local beaches. You can hire kayaks and paddle boards on the local beaches, enjoy wildlife sea tours (we would highly recommend AK Wildlife Cruises) or just take things at a slower pace at many of the wonderful parks and natural attractions in the area. Definitely one of our top places to visit again in 2018!
A real taste of Cornwall, compact town with lots of nice shops and restaurants. We ate in Zizzi’s and had a lovely meal. It’s lovely to be so close to the sea.
Great sea side town with lovely views of the ocean, and close to beautiful scenery areas like Land’s End, Minack Theatre, and Cape Cornwall.
Got around by car. Roads were easy to follow, but quite a lot of double mini roundabouts, and a lot of cars parked on both sides of roads in general, narrowing the access routes. Some hills which make for great views. Loved driving around Carlyon Bay. Ogy 1 pastie shop sold the best pasties of the 3 we tried in Cornwall. Visited Eden Project for the first time and loved the rainforest biome the best! The humidity and scents took me to a different world. Also been to Hangloose Adventure Park next to Eden Project good, but they don’t provide photos nor a photographer like some adventure parks, so if this is important to you, take someone along to help with this. There’s an option to hire a camera case for £5 to attach your own mobile phone to your helmet, on the Skywire attraction. It captures the views you’ll witness. St Austell brewery was a brilliant, informative tour, with beer sampling, free onsite parking and they even offer a student discount with valid student ID. The people we met everywhere were very friendly and helpful. The booklet Best Days Out In Cornwall, available at most accommodations or attractions, provided some coupons for some of the attractions. I did not use these, but found the information in it helpful.
We have only been visiting Cornwall since our daughter started university in Falmouth. We have enjoyed our trips to Falmouth during the last 3 years and will continue to visit even when our daughter’s course is finished. One of the places we would highly recommend to eat is Pennycomequick. You’ll definitely need to book.
Marazion is quieter than expected. St. Michaels Mount is very beautiful and mysterious. Everyone in Marazion was very friendly. It's a perfect base from which to explore cornwall due to its close proximity to the A30.
St Michael’s Mount is the main attraction and is definitely worth the visit but the town also is a great place to relax, enjoy good food, quiet walks, chat with friendly residents. Marazion is also a great Headquarters for exploring other parts of Cornwall
Camelford
"I had a wonderful stay at Bowood Park Hotel during a short holiday. The property offers stunning views of the North Cornwall countryside, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a warm touch to the experience. The food quality was excellent, with a variety of delicious options to enjoy. Additionally, the hotel's location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions, like Port Isaac and Tintagel.
Newquay
The apartment was clean, bright and comfy. The apartment itself as well as the furniture were of good quality, looked appealing yet simple, and seemed quite new/in good shape. It was quiet and we could really be on our own. Instructions were clear. Location wise, the center of Newquay with shops and pubs was easily accessible by foot, the beautiful bay next to the apartment was perfect for walks and beach activities, and the private parking as well as the central location facilitated exploring Cornwall by car.
The Hotel staff at the Wellington really made our visit. They were very helpful and accommodating. They took extra time to answer our questions and tell us about nearby places that we may want to visit during our stay. We had to check out early to catch a train and I had left a pair of earrings behind. They contacted me first and asked if I wanted them to mail the earrings to me! We had an exceptional stay and will definitely stay there again when visiting Cornwall.
St. Agnes
We enjoyed our stay at the St. Ages Hotel. It was far away from the tourist crowds you meet at St. Ives and other places and it is a true experience of the real Cornwall. Sitting in front of the hotel, drinking a Cider and watching the community passing was one of our most exciting experiences. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the pub is the social center for the local community. The avocado toast fro breakfast was amazing
Penzance
I travel all over Cornwall with work and stay in some of the best Hotels but in Penzance my budget doesn’t stretch far. This quaint little friendly pub is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfy! The breakfast which is brought to your room is stunning! Lovely staff that make you feel very welcome. Next door is another pub that serves very good food and again the staff are very friendly.
Newquay
On arrival the keys were in lockbox as described in email from hosts. Apartment had all the facilities we needed, a fully equipped kitchen, good sized rooms, unexpected second toilet/cloakroom. The apartment was very clean including bedding, towels etc. The location is great for the beach, getting into Newquay, the 56 bus stops outside to get into town and a good location to explore Cornwall. We enjoyed our stay.
The Falcon Hotel has been a meeting place for me and my family for as long as I can remember, over 50 years. Together with The Brendon pub next door, The Falcon Hotel is an icon of Bude and in fact North Cornwall. The Falcon Hotel is of historical importance, it is a wonderful building in an amazing location. The staff are local, friendly and always helpful. I look forward very much to returning in the future.
At first I didn't believe the pictures but the apartment turned out to live up to the advertised pictures!! Very modern, new and spacious apartment. It is equipped with everything you need (e.g. washing machine, dryer, cooking utensils) and nicely decorated. Really made our family vacation enjoyable with nice atmosphere. Very near beach and other restaurants as well. Would stay here again if come to Cornwall!
Wonderful large apartment, fully equipped and centrally located. Even nicer than the beautiful photos: tastefully decorated with a maritime, Cornwall theme and impeccably maintained. It's not a budget place, but if you are looking for a beautiful apartment, centrally located with a full kitchen and direct access to Padstow's reknowned restaurants, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend.
Lots of space. If you were staying a while you would easily be able to unpack properly. Good breakfast. Swimming pool available in summer. Very useful folder of information about the hotel and local area. Including the free Wi-Fi code - always appreciate not having to pay for Wi-Fi. Hotel is in an excellent location for accessing both north and south coast of Cornwall.
Charlestown
Super nice little apartment in the quietest of areas. Apartment was very functional and had all the necessities. Short walk to the beach, easy to visit Charlestown Harbor and closeby to grocery, restaurants, bank etc. Easy check in and out was nice. Central location to see Cornwall and still be able to come back to call and quiet. Nice view of the bay very relaxing!
Everything about the Hotel Meudon far surpassed our expectations, from the lovely (and spacious) cottage in which my husband, myself and our two children stayed, to the gorgeous grounds and the absolutely gourmet food we had at each meal. We have determined this will be the only place we stay when we return to Cornwall, and feel so lucky to have found it online.
We had a very difficult journey to Cornwall and ended up at our hotel 6 hours later than we expected. Leila text such good care of Us make sure we had food in our room and that we were comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was astonishing as was all the food at the restaurant which is truly top-notch. We've booked a return trip already.
The staff at this hotel are so friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. Considering this is a hotel at a services it is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The services next door are useful for food and have a small co-op which was handy. It is very well positioned to go either further into Cornwall or back to Devon
Such a lovely hotel in such a great location for a trip to Cornwall. Hotel is within a few minutes walk into the centre Fowey and across the road from the ferry to Megavissey. The views from the balcony and restaurant are absolutely beautiful. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and bed was really comfortable.
Another fabulous stay at the Tremarne Hotel this weekend. Would thoroughly recommend to everyone, it really is a little gem in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Wes and Tam are fabulous hosts and make you feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Food is amazing and the rooms are lovely with great views. Looking forward to returnin
St Ives
Location in a quiet area, 10-15 minutes walk to train station and Carbis Bay beach, bus stop for St Ives and other Cornwall destinations in front of the B&B. Shop (small supermarket) next door. Nice and friendly owners. Small issue with door hook hanging loose was immediately fixed after we reported it.
Looe
Beautifully maintained, spacious and historical farm house, formerly of the Dutchy of Cornwall and thoughtful transformed into a 5 roomed well appointed Hotel/B&B overlooking Looe Island and the spectacular bay that has delighted so many holiday makers for many decades.
Tintagel
John runs an absolutely stellar hostel. He is attentive to travelers' needs and even anticipates them.. He is knowledgeable about Cornwall and ready to hear stories of travels and offer tips. The discount at the Tintagel Arms is also a pretty sweet bonus.
The location is excellent for a visit to Truro, and, as we did, visiting other sites in Cornwall. The grounds are beautiful. Despite being off a major A road, there was no traffic noise disruption. The staff were very friendly and the Hotel was very clean.
