Beneath your feet, the reliable Broughton Moor green slate flooring, sourced from the west Lakeland, ensures a steady and secure footing. Spanning 210 m2, our guesthouse seamlessly blends historic charm with modern comfort. Each room is carefully appointed to ensure your utmost comfort. As night falls, you can savour hearty homecooked meals in our cosy dining room, or step outside to gaze at the starry sky with a drink in hand. Adjacent to the guesthouse stands a detached barn house, whose owner is a quiet gentleman. You may occasionally find farm machinery or vehicles stored within the grounds of the properties. Apart from the barn house, there are no through roads or streetlights, allowing you enjoy the tranquil environment in seclusion. Begin your exploration with walks, hikes, mountain biking trails, and wild swimming opportunities that commence right at your doorstep, allowing you to immerse yourself in the captivating natural beauty that envelops you. A leisurely 10 to 20-minute stroll will reveal charming restaurants, friendly pubs, and quaint village shops, providing a delightful insight into local life. For a wider adventure, embark on a short 20 to 45-minute drive to discover the timeless splendour of Lakeland's many attractions. You can also explore numerous attractions a short distance away by car. Most of the roads within the National Park near the house are single tracks. Additionally, native Herdwick sheep often wander onto the road, so please be patient with them.
