This quiet and tranquil location is perfect to get into the quieter waters with your own boat, kayak or paddle board from our slipway. Bring your own boat and moor directly outside. Fishing permitted in season from the garden! Boat and paddle board (in season) hire is available locally and we highly recommend exploring the Norfolk Broads from this idyllic location – pre booking with a local company is advised.  Situated in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant, Café & Bakery and local pubs serving good food. An ideal touring base, with Great Yarmouth easily accessible by car or train. The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside can be explored by car. RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 3 miles. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are 12 miles. Also accessible by train is the fine city of Norwich only 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museums. For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. BeWilderwood and Pleasurewood Hills are also not far.
