It is in an amazing location, has easy access to the local park, and is not far from the town center. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Plenty of space for free parking.

The breakfast was brillient. One morning in the conservatory looking over the grounds and the following morning in the crooked barn. Everything you could want on the menu with table service NOT help yourself from a buffet to greasy cold bacon. First class service from all the staff. The room was large with comfy chairs and coffee table which was nice. We slept well on a comfy bed with spotless crisp white bed linen. The bath towels were white and fluffy. The shower was good and hot. All together a lovely stay. As someone who doesn't drink either tea or coffee a sachet of hot chocolate or bottle of water in the room would have been appreciated. I guess if I'd asked I couild have had one but we were in the courtyard away from reception.

A big variety of shops in and around town, and watching the swing bridge work was fascinating, with the views of Lowestoft docks, and the sea The Chippy on London Road very nice chips and reasonably priced, all freshly cooked, the beach was clean a bright yellow with soft sand, and the Kittyhawk nesting boxes that look like raised small huts in the sea, also a large statue on the beach made by an artist from Lowestoft

The main reason to visit Lowestoft is Ness Point which is...

The main reason to visit Lowestoft is Ness Point which is the Eaternmost point in Great Britain. There was nothing to signify this, no noticeboard or physical mark and it was accessed along a typical industrial back road. The town centre itself is quite busy with a full range of generic shops which can be found all over the UK. The best part was the busy harbour, the opening bridges, the docks and the South beach with its wide promenade and sitting areas.

Definitely visit Lowestoft again plenty to do there the tram...

Definitely visit Lowestoft again plenty to do there the tram museum was my favourite, it was like going back in time lovely . We had a great time at the lovely sandy beach , and the African zoo was very worth visiting.

Lovely seafront.

Lovely seafront. Beach is more stony than it used to be so take your sand shoes! Nice toilets but quite a walk to them if you’re at the opposite end of the prom! Fab fresh hot donuts from the kiosk 😋

My review is just of the beach area Having lived locally a number of years ago we have a soft spot for the town - particularly the beach We were surprised how few people were on the beach - compared to when we used to live in the town - times change The beach south of the Claremont Pier is lovely and sandy - it is spotless and well worth a visit with the family and all the associated equipment you'd want on a beach During our stay we visited Southwold - I know it's a case of each to their own but I was amazed to see more people on the beach - when, if they're staying locally - only a matter of a few miles down the road is a far better one at Lowestoft

We stayed at the Hotel Victoria on our last night of hiking the Norfolk Coast Path. It was comfortable enough and a good quiet location on the more pleasant side of Lowestoft right on an expansive sandy beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. 20 minute walk to the railway station for our homebound transport. Restaurant was well appointed, with great sea views and good pleasant service and a good choice of options for dinner and breakfast.

What a great find. A fantastic B&B in Lowestoft. Derek and partner were very obliging. Breakfast will be hard to beat. Room 7 was a great room. Plenty space. No issues with parking either. Stayed early October. Couple in their 60s. Also, such good value for the price. Cannot recommend enough.

The hotel as a whole and location as someone who lived in Southend until very recently appreciated where it is mainly the beach and seafront as well being close to Westcliff station which was ideal for me
