Brundall has a train station half a mile away from our lodges with links to Norwich or the beach at Great Yarmouth. There are many family and wildlife attractions in the area and boats are available for hire with various local companies - pre-booking is advised. An ideal touring base, with Great Yarmouth easily accessible by car or train. The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside can be explored by car. RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 3 miles. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are 12 miles. Also accessible by train is the fine city of Norwich only 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museums. For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. BeWilderwood and Pleasurewood Hills Theme-Park are close by.
