Sat nav postcode took us directly to the property. Keys were ready and available in the door which was easy and very handy. The hosts had left sausages, bacon, eggs and a box of chocolates which was a lovely touch. Arrived to find lights and heating were already on which was a cosy touch. Bedding and all towels included. The lodge itself was very comfy and accommodating. Beds were comfy. The setting is quiet and relaxing with a lovely view of the lake. It was an added bonus to find little touches such as oil, salt, pepper, washing up liquid, tea towel and dishwasher tablets for use too.

Rose Lodge is a cosy retreat located near Gillingham in Dorset. Hosting three bedrooms; a double and two twin along with a shower room and a bathroom, this property can sleep up to six people. Inside you will also find an open plan sitting, kitchen and dining area with an open fire and breakfast bar. To the outside is off road parking and an enclosed lawned garden to the rear with patio furniture and a wood fired pizza oven. Private decked balconies rest to the front. Note: Two well-behaved dogs welcome at an additional charge of 25/pet. Should you wish to fish at the property, there will be an additional charge of 35 per person providing they are over 12. 12 and under can fish for note: Bookings must start on either a Friday or a MondayPlease note: For summer bookings bookings must be Friday - Friday

Milton on Stour is a village north of Gillingham in rural north Dorset, and close to the borders of Somerset and Wiltshire. There are numerous historic houses within a short drive, to include the house and gardens at Stourhead, and Longleat House and Safari Park. Alternatively, why not try one of the rural walks in the area. Further afield, visitors can enjoy the historic cities of Bath or Salisbury, whilst a visit to the Dorset Jurassic Coast is not to be missed.
