Bright and comfortable 2 room annex on a Cornish smallholding. Over looking countryside with distant views of St. Ives bay. We are close to many beautiful beaches and centrally situated for exploring West Cornwall and beyond. Beautiful walks and historic mining trail close by. Ideal for couples looking for a relaxing break or for busy families wanting to explore and enjoy the beaches. Superfast Wifi. The Piano Room annex has it's own entrance and is on 2 floors. The master bedroom has a tranquil feel and it is from here that you can view the sun setting and the wildlife that visits. It's a bright, comfortable, triple aspect room with sun flooding in from the large arched window at the rear and the French doors with Juliette balcony to the front. 2 seater sofa and small smart TV. The modern ensuite with shower which serves both rooms is accessed from this room. The downstairs room has a daybed which converts from a small single to a 5ft double. There is a TV, kitchenette area with 2 ring hob, small fridge, kettle, toaster, combi microwave and table with chairs. The accommodation sleeps up to 4 and is most suited for a couple or family with children. Please note that we accept bookings from couples and families only. Maximum of 3 adults. (Imagine a large family room split over two floors with the benefit of small kitchenette and dining table & chairs) The accomodation is self catering. There is enough crockery etc for cooking simple meals. A washing line is provided outside for your use. There is also a picnic table for guests use in our front meadow. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Please note that we do allow pets on request, this however is limited to one well behaved dog (no puppies) and we do make an extra charge. There is a parking space for one car. Parking can be provided for an extra car for small additional charge. Sorry no EV charging.
We look forward to welcoming you to our 8 acre smallholding in the beautiful county of Cornwall. We keep a few chickens for eggs and two small flocks of sheep including our rare breed White faced woodland. which no doubt you will see during your visit. We are also cat mad, we currently have 6 indoor Devon Rex cats and just recently have given a home to an outside feral farm cat. We are sadly 'between' dogs at the moment. Summer is busy in the vegetable garden, we try to grow as much as we can especially different tomatoes in the polytunnel. Much of our land is grazing for the sheep but to encourage birds and other wildlife we have been planting native fruit bearing trees to provide food and shelter. Being centrally located means that we are just a short drive from most places of interest, With easy access to the A30 which is approximately 3 miles away it means that a trip to Heligan and the Eden project is an easy day out. We have some amazing beaches within 6 miles. A favourite is Portreath, great for families with easy access and parking, toilets, shops & cafes. The long stretching sands at Gwithian are amazing and parking is available - both are so close it's worth visiting in the evening just to watch the sun set. Both beaches are popular for surfing so don't forget your body boards! Wetsuit hire is also availble at Portreath just incase you forget yours and both beaches have lifeguard cover during the summer. Bus stop within 400m, with frequent service to Truro via Camborne. Camborne rail station is within 2 miles, but to explore we reccommend your own transport is desirable. If bringing cycles then there are many bike routes in the area to enjoy. Otherwise cycle hire and electric cycle hire is available locally. A varied selection of takeways and restaurants within 2 miles and many will also deliver. Our central location makes it the ideal base from which to explore West Cornwall, St Ives, Minock Theatre, Lands End to name a few. The Eden project Heligon & St Austell an easy day trip. Amazing beaches:- Portreath 6 miles, Helston 8 miles, Falmouth 12 miles, St Ives 14 miles, Gwithian 6 miles, Perrenporth 14 miles. Stithians Lake and watersport centre is within 5 miles. For a days shopping the beautiful cathederal city of Truro is 15 miles away with a miriad of independant shops in addition to the well known names.
