A large ivy-clad farmhouse with views of the Yorkshire Dales. In the grounds of Sun Hill Farm, the site of a famous racing yard, sleep up to 10 guests plus two pooches in luxury at Sun Hill Farmhouse. Leyburn is a short drive away, and venture into Yorkshire Dales for a bit of adventure and local history.

Sun Hill Farmhouse offers an idyllic and relaxing luxury escape at the heart of the glorious ’gateway’ to the Dales. A mile down the hill into Constable Burton is a popular bar and restaurant The Wyvill Arms. Close by in Finghall is another pub with a good pub garden. Within an easy drive of Sun Hill are plenty of places to eat, including pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms to choose from. Leyburn is the closest town and offers a range of everyday shopping within 4 miles of this Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage. Enjoy a wide range of everyday shopping, as well as inns and tearooms. We can recommend the delicious artisanal shop Inspired Chocolate. Whilst Friday means a visit to the weekly market. We also love the Forbidden Corner, a unique labyrinth of follies and surprises, and voted the best children’s attraction in Yorkshire.
