This pretty cottage has plenty of space for friends and family to gather together, there is a large garden to relax in and with a BBQ for al fresco dining it's the perfect place to be on a summer's evening.

Neighborhood info

Historic Ampleforth is in a beautiful rural setting, on the edge of the North York Moors, an ideal location from which to explore this fabulous part of Yorkshire. Try mountain biking in Dalby Forest and Sutton bank or enjoy the many cycling routes and walking trails. The quaint market town of Helmsley, the only market town in the North York Moors National Park, is just a 5 minute drive away. It has so much to offer with its walled garden, castle ruins and birds of prey at Duncombe Park. You will also find a small supermarket, deli's, butchers and lots of independent shops and cafes. The famous North York Moors steam train transports visitors from Pickering to the fishing port of Whitby and miles of sandy beaches can be found along the Heritage coastline with its traditional resorts at Scarborough and Filey. There are abbey ruins at Rievaulx and stately homes at Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall. Easily accessible is the ancient city of York, brimming with attractions and steeped in history, this vibrant city appeals to all ages. Golf is available nearby at Gilling and horse racing at York, Thirsk and Ripon. For family fun head to Flamingo Land and Lightwater Valley. There are several good restaurants within the surrounding area including two Michelin Star restaurants within a 20 minute drive. With nearby Pickering and its steam trains to the north, Castle Howard only 20 minutes' drive away and Whitby, Scarborough and the North Yorkshire Coast only 35 miles away, Ampleforth is in the perfect location for a relaxing holiday.
