We have taken 3 shipping containers and giiven them a luxury makeover; designed to make the most of the beautiful countryside surroundings. Enjoy the terraces on long summer nights or hunker down in-front of the log fire on cold winter days, the cabins are equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Perfect if you are looking to get active in the outdoors and take in the beauty of the North York Moors, head out and explore the East coast beaches or just sit back and relax and enjoy the farm.
Welcome to the BOX BNB, your hosts live in the house just behind the barn with our two daughters, and friendly spaniels; they will generally stay out of your way, but the dogs do wander about! We have some amazing wildlife here which I hope you will be fortunate enough to see. We often have cows, sheep, ponies, and horses in the fields surrounding the cabins. The ponies will happily chat all day long, but please do not feed the horses as they are already fat enough and often on a diet! We work the land here at Moor Close Farm, so may pass by in a tractor or big sprayer, it's a fantastic to place to be when the farm is in full swing. The farm is surrounded by wonderful walks and footpaths, you are welcome to use the footpaths and enjoy the scenery. With us being on the edge of the moors, with very low levels of light pollution on clear nights you will have the most spectacular view of the stars from the decking too.
We are sandwhiched between the market towns of Thornton-Le-Dale and Pickering and a stones throw from Yorkshires food capital, Malton. We are also on the edge of the North York Moors, one of only a handful of certified dark sky reserves in the world as well as all the activities that come with areas of outstanding natural beauty including breathtaking hikes and cycling routes. The cabins are situated on a working farm and so after a day exploring what North Yorkshire has to offer, retreating to the farm with some fresh produce from the local farm shops is just the right way to finish the day as you watch the workings (and wildlife) of the farm go by.
