Ruthwaite is located in the Caldbeck and Uldale fells with an abundance of walks from the door and panoramic views to the Solway Coast, Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw. The hamlet of Ruthwaite is 2 miles from Ireby and 3 miles from Uldale both have a village inn serving local ales and Uldale also has a tea room/gallery. The shores of Bassenthwaite lake are 4 miles away, picnic by the lake, try canoeing or paddle boarding or visit the Lake District Wildlife park. Dodd Wood along with the Osprey Viewing point is a short drive and the popular market town of Keswick with shops, pubs and restaurants is a 20 minute drive. The Granary Ruthwaite is a traditional Lakeland cottage ideal for guests who want scenery and walks on their doorstep and a place to relax and recharge their batteries. The cottage is warm and cosy, has beams and views towards Skiddaw and the Uldale and Caldbeck fells. The cottage has a secure garden perfect for children or dogs to play.
