The Old Dairy is a very special, romantic cottage for two - a charming barn conversion which faces onto a delightful courtyard. The front entrance and hallway opens into a particularly spacious living/ dining / kitchen open plan area, which is furnished and fitted to the highest standard. It is fully centrally heated with the added bonus of a log-burning stove to make you feel extra cosy on a winter's evening. The cosy first floor bedroom can be set up as a twin or a superking bed, according to your wishes- please state your preference prior to your arrival. The newly installed luxury shower room has proved to be very popular with our guests. On arrival you will find a welcome tray with tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits, plus a bottle of wine or home produce apple juice if you prefer.
We are a long- established family farming business and have lived here, at Field House for five generations. We diversified into tourism in 1983 and, in conjunction with our son, James, now run a very successful holiday cottage business alongside our farming enterprise. Ours is still a real working farm. When you stay at The Old Dairy you will be surrounded by gently rolling countryside in a very peaceful setting. Our farmland is home to a rich diversity of wildlife and we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious Gold Green Tourism Award for our efforts towards sustainable tourism.
Our luxury self-catering holiday cottages are located on the northern edge of Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast, within easy reach of Scarborough and York. No matter which of our seven award-winning holiday cottages you choose, Field House Farm makes an ideal choice for a perfect self-catering cottage holiday in Yorkshire. Our farm location gives you the freedom to take country walks from your door, opening up super sea views over Bridlington Bay and great wildlife and bird-watching opportunities. You'll love the sandy, Blue Flag beaches of Bridlington, which stretch for miles; the cliffs and birdlife at Bempton RSPB Bird Reserve, famous for puffins and gannets, will amaze you; and you can explore the caves and rock pools of Flamborough Head - these and much more are all on our doorstep! You can enjoy great Yorkshire days out in the likes of Filey, Pickering, Scarborough and Whitby, as well as historic York and Beverley. Take a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, explore the Wolds Way, or potter around the brilliant Museum Quarter and The Deep in Hull.
