We are a small family run B&B in the former village post office. The building dates back to Victorian times but has been refurbished to a high standard. We offer a welcoming and comfortable place to stay - "a home from home". We have a VisitEngland 4 star rating, a Silver Award and a Breakfast Award and got a Rose Award in 2023. We offer a great place to stay as a base for exploring large parts of Lincolnshire, or if visiting the area on business or family or friends; and there is plenty of private parking at the side of the house behind gates which we shut at night, and guests have their own private entrance. There are 3 bedrooms which are all on the first floor, accommodating up to 6 people (2 with ensuites and 1 with its own large private and exclusive bathroom). Downstairs are 2 rooms which guests can use - the Snug and the Dining Room - with seating for relaxing in, books, a TV and a stove in each room. These rooms are also used for serving meals.
We want our guests to enjoy their stay. We do what we can to ensure your stay is relaxing and comfortable - a home from home - whether on holiday, wanting to explore the area or visiting for a specific purpose such as business, visiting friends or family - and we use luxury Hypnos mattresses for a good night's sleep. We take great pride in our breakfasts, offering a wide choice of quality Lincolnshire produce to showcase the great taste of Lincolnshire - smoked fish from Alfred Enderby in Grimsby to Lincolnshire sausages from Redhill Farm near Gainsborough. We also offer evening meals by separate arrangement. We were chosen as one of 3 finalists for the Tourism Excellence Awards in 2019 and 2020 for Lincolnshire for Best Bed and Breakfast; SME News recently named us Most Charming Bed and Breakfast 2023 - Lincolnshire; and VisitEngland awarded us a Rose Award for 2023 in recognition of our service excellence. 1 review summarises what we hope our guests will think of us and our Bed and Breakfast, from a couple who were exploring the area: "One of the best holiday stays we have had in 31 years of holidaying. Lovely welcome, a great room, cosy snug and fabulous evening meals." We like meeting people and want our guests to feel at home, which is why so many reviews comment on how much they enjoyed their stay and the warm welcome we offer.
We are located north of Lincoln in the village of Normanby by Spital. There is a pub, The Bottle & Glass, and a post office/village store about 2 minutes from our front door. The village is surrounded by farmland and provides a quiet, relaxing place to base yourself for exploring the area. The village is a 5 minute drive from both the A15 and A631, with easy access to a various local attractions including the city of Lincoln, the antiques centres at Hemswell Cliff, The Lincolnshire Showground, Market Rasen Racecourse and The Lincolnshire Wolds.
