I liked everything about it. A friend recommended the hotel, as her sister had stayed there. The place is a converted old rectory and is full of quirky charm; despite that, it is fully modern. Beautiful place. The room we stayed in was enormous...

Very clean and comfortable room, the staff were most helpful and really couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast menu selection is SERIOUSLY impressive, prepared and served to a very high standard. We will be back next year for a longer break.

Neighborhood info

Why not explore the narrow streets of the Old Town, with its charming mix of antique, vintage and independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Wander along Rockanore with its iconic tall black net huts, built for the harbours fishermen to traditionally dry their nets. Home, also to the Jerwood Gallery, which houses a fabulous permanent collection of 20th and 21st century British art and regularly changing exhibitions. Climb aboard Britains steepest funicular railway, which ascends up to the Country Park and its breathetaking views of the East Sussex coast or take the second funicular railway from George Street up the West Hill, to find the remains of Englands first castle built by William the Conqueror. Stroll along the prom, stop and play crazy golf where the world champions fight for the trophy each year, ride the caterpillar at the funfair or spend a 'penny' to win a fortune at one of the amusement arcades, before continuing along to the newly rebuilt pier and St.Leonards beyond.
