Great location in pretty village surrounded by glorious countryside

Cosy country manor house style preserved. Staff easy going, friendly and helpful. Decoration quirky and appropriate. A lot of historic prints that do much for the atmosphere, with old comics and magazines in various corners as wallpaper. By coincidence our en suite bathroom had Magazine pages of the time of Queen Elizabeth's Coronation. A surprising and topical "read"! It would be criminal not to mention the Heavenly Beef pies and a stunning rhubarb dessert

Location is great for my work requirements. Building is beautiful and historic. Breakfast is very good.

Breakfast was lovely, Pizza restaurant, Outside area, Inside barn area - all were fantastic. Room was beautiful and comfy with a huge bed, daily brownies!

fabulous rooms, clean well presented and equipped, excellent food excellent place to stay

Special thanks to the friendly lady of the reception. There was a payment issue and because I am a foreigner, things can get confusing because of the language barrier. I could rely on some extra patience from staff to resolve the issue. She was very patient and understanding, which was very nice. No wonder this hotel has such high review points, if there would be any issues, I am sure they would be resolved right away. The room I stayed in was great, large comfy bed, a table for doing some work, spotless bathroom and a whole arsenal of body wash, shampoo conditioner stuff. Nothing to complain about and more than fairly priced, especially considering breakfast is included.

Room very comfortable Staff top drawer Food excellent
