Lovely welcome hamper left for us and milk and orange juice in the fridge as well as butter and jam. Fluffy dressing gowns provided and the washing up liquid and toiletries smelt lovely. Good location close to York with a bus stop just up the road.

'The Snug' is so close to York and easily accessible by car (in 15 minutes), very frequent buses or beautiful off road bicycle track (45 minutes). Your accomodation is a stunning private apartment attached to the Old Station Master's House (originally dating back to the 1850s) in the lovely village of Riccall (with excellent local amenities including pubs, widely renowned italian restaurant, mini-superarket and Skipwith Common nature reserve on its doorstep. 'The Snug' its own well equipped stylish kitchen (washer/dryer, fridge, kettle/toaster, cooker, pots/pans/cutlery etc) and bathroom with rainforest shower. Robes and towels will be made available for your stay and a welcome hamper with bread, milk and orange juice to get you started. The SMART TV also plays selection of dvds available. You have your own private gate where you will find your patio with eating area and door/keycode to your apartment.
A privilege to have been hosting stays for over 5 years with five star reviews. Always happy to help/advise! Our favourite things are cycling or walking into York (the Sustrans off road path starts at Riccall and is a stunning 9 mile ride into the centre (45 mins on a bike!) and eating at the amazing village italian restaurant Burro...
The attractive, well connected village of Riccall is a stone's throw from York with buses every 15 mins into York City Centre (calling at York Designer Outlet en route). Riccall has a mini-market, two pubs, a Post Office, surgery and the village's italian restaurant, Burro, is extremely popular and well worth booking.
