The host Margaret was very nice and accommodating. She told us of a place to do laundry right down the road which saved us discomfort because we're on a longer trip through Europe. Hot showers and warm beds.

Margaret is a wonderful host. Very kind and gave us the best information for getting around Edinburgh. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Beautiful garden to look out from the bedroom. The location was perfect as well. Well equipped kitchen to cook, make tea and store cold items. Close enough to get take-away, coffee or groceries and just a short taxi or bus ride downtown. We will absolutely stay with Margaret at the White House again! Thank you Margaret for a lovely stay ❤️

Very home from home , quirky and Scottish but really lovely very calm and peaceful. Margaret was a perfect host . The location was perfect for popping on and off the bus wherever you needed to go . The bus service amazing coming from someone who drives everywhere my husband and myself couldn’t fault the bus service. Perfect guest house with a beautiful garden .

You won't find linen bedsheets or fancy breakfast, but Marg is absolutely amazing. It's like being at home far from home. The place has a special warmth, it's super clean and cozy, instructions are all over the place in case you need anything, and Marg provides a lot of useful informations about buses, places to eat and everything you might need. Bus stop is literally on the other side of the road and it takes 20 minutes to get to Edinburgh centre.

The White House is well located for easy access by bus to the city. the owner provided a simple map which made it easy to come and go having access to a microwave and fridge was fantastic The room was quite soundproof and overlooked a lovely garden

Parking facility excellent. Room very clean and comfortable. No intrusion from the very helpful host. Very good location for access by bus to the city centre, and easy access to all outside routes by car. Garden grounds very very nice.
