We chose Lechlade as a venue to stay in for a 3 day walking break. As such it was ideally situated. The town itself is quite small but it was easy to travel to walking areas in the vicinity such as Buscot Lock, for the Thames path, or Buscot Park. Bibury and Minster Lovell were fairly close, as was Kelmscot Manor. Cirencester is easy to reach too.
Food at The New Inn was brilliant and The Trout Inn was a lovely old pub, which is a short walk out of town on a well made path.

It's a small town on the upper Thames with an 18th-century bridge. Buscot Park (National Trust) is less than three miles away, and Kelmscott (once the home of William Morris) not much further. His friend Burne-Jones's pre-Raphaelite stained glass can be seen in Buscot church.

The hotel is in a perfect location to attend a wedding at nearby Oxleaze Barn. Hotel was respectful of the period of build. Beautiful grounds and views. Lovely bar and food. Great local amenities and walks. Polite helpful staff. plenty of parking space to the rear. Accommodated an early check in to allow us to change for the wedding. Receptionist arranged a taxi to collect us from the wedding venue end of the evening.
Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.
Fantastic location and facilities. Large double room with separate single, ideal for small family. Own private entrance was great with table and chairs in mini courtyard, all for the price of a hotel room! It was lovely to sit on the room with the door open on a sunny day and our daughter could play just outside.
Had a lovely relaxing stay here, the staff were accommodating and friendly. A great bonus was the wonderful food served in the cafe on site - the breakfast was the best I've had by far! And they were more than happy to bring my meal to my room on one occasion also.
Would recommend a stay here and we will be back
Nice city, lots of restaurants around the corner. Good breakfast at Lynwood&Co, great diner at the New Inn Hotel. Also very dog friendly. Parking seems to be an issue but we could park every day on the small square around the corner, officially for 2 hrs, but nobody seems to worry.
Overall a good stay.
The village of Langford is almost unnaturally picturesque and the Bell Inn is similarly characterful; almost the Platonic ideal of a Home Counties pub. The food was great, particularly the breakfast which, unusually, felt like had been prepared with the same attention to detail as the evening meal.
Great location for our needs.
Friendly and helpful staff
Clean and attractive Accomodation
Tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water and an invite to have a complimentary drink in the cafe.
Good WiFi in an area where phone signal is poor.
Fantastic breakfast
Perfectly located and well equipped accommodation. Very clean and tidy, We used it for a small family reunion and there was plenty to do in the area and it was not far to travel to either Lechlade or Burford, both very attractive towns. We'll definitely recommend it to friends.
The house is in a good location to access the lovely town of Lechlade and other attractions such as the wildlife park. The rooms are good sizes, the back room is nice and the shower is really powerful. The litlle bottles of shampoo etc and the hamper were a nice bonus.
Great central location in Lechlade with a large lawn running down to the Thames. very handy for Lechlade’s shops cafes and restaurants. Our room was large and recently refurbished with a big bathroom and very comfortable.
Book your stay for the food . Breakfast and dinner excellent .
It’s an Inn not a hotel bear that in mind with your expectations .
Linen / beds/towels / toiletries/ top notch .
Breakfast waiter lovely .
The rooms are very spacious and very nicely furnished. There is everything you need. The beds are big and very comfortable.
Breakfast is also great and the staff is fantastic and extremely friendly.
Lovely combination of modern comforts combined with old charm in the oldest inn in the centre of Lechlade. Peaceful, warm, quiet room and a comfy bed. Parking available at the back was very handy.
The room was lovely, with loads of character.
Very comfy bed, slept really well.
No breakfast as the kitchen was closed but we were directed to a really nice place very close by.
