The house is accessible to everyone with really good facilities, comfortable seating, the biggest dining table ever seen and really well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. There is even a quiet mezzanine area for tucking yourself away with a book! Outside there is a large terrace with seating and beyond a big green space. There is real peace here accompanied by the sound of numerous birds in the trees. Lovely.
We walked to Bamburgh, drove round to Lindisfarne and another day to Alnwick gardens (their Treehouse Restaurant is top notch.) Beadnell is worth a visit plus their Craster Arms pub, and so is Craster itself with its smoke house and a stroll to Dunstanburgh castle as a treat.
And there's lots more places to explore next year!

I have been to Seahouses almost every year since 1991!
I have been to Seahouses almost every year since 1991! I have also been almost all round the British coast, and nowhere beats Northumberland. Seahouses has a perfect mix of scenery, wildlife, entertainment, shops and is very friendly and unpretentious. A great place in it's own right and a great base for the rest of the coast and county. Even after over 25 visits I'm not bored of it! So much to see, do and enjoy. A must-do is a boat trip to The Farnes - ideally with Serenity as these are the best trips with nice knowledgable staff.

Beautiful working harbour adorned with lobster pods, plenty of day trips to visit Farne island, fish or drive. Lots of independent shops which is nice to see but best of all a great choice of eateries for breakfast, lunch and evening with the quality first class. The fish& chips were so tasty and the Italian was so atmospheric with such flavoursome food also you can walk everywhere easily

Seahouses is a perfect base to explore from.
Seahouses is a perfect base to explore from. Lovely little town with amazing coastal path. If you enjoy walking you won’t be disappointed with this area. Superb scenery from Seahouses to Lindisfarne. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and discovered a lovely old traditional smokehouse in Seahouses. Before walking to Holy Island we enjoyed a coffee at Beal Barn with panoramic views. Driving over to Holy Island an option if you don’t want a very long walk ! Overall enjoyed excellent hospitality everywhere we visited. We’d need a full weeks visit next time to really appreciate that coastline. Stunning ! The Snug a cosy base for the two of us with parking right outside our door

Great place for a short break. Beaches close by and plenty of places to walk to
Good food in cafes and restaurants.
Italian restaurant At top of main street and Indian just below serve excellent food
Loved staying here. Friendly welcome. The location was superb with lovely views. Our rooms (bedroom & lounge) were clean and thoughtfully decorated. Having the lounge was definitely a plus and having only booked one night at Chandlers on our road trip, we wish we’d had time for more. We ate breakfast in the delightful breakfast room next door and the food was very good.
We were next door to the Olde Ship Inn where we were treated to an excellent Sunday lunch followed by a walk along the beach.
The breakfast was outstanding, lots of great options for all tastes and filling for all kinds of needs.
The staff was outstanding, very helpful.
The hotel has a nice comfortable area to relax at the end of the day. The bar was not open at the time, but I believe it was opened later that week.
The hotel was well representated by the pictures posted. It is located walking distance from downtown and 3 miles away from Bamburgh's Castle, which made a very pleasant hike.
The staff are very friendly, the room was comfortable and very clean plus the hotel is dog friendly. We slept really well. The food is excellent quality, we dined in their restaurant on the evening and our meal was delicious. We were well catered for at breakfast too. We had fruit to start and cereal then a cooked breakfast along with toast, fruit juice and a cuppa. Again excellent quality. We will definitely stay here again.
First time visiting Beach House Hotel and it did not disappoint. The most perfect location, with amazing views. We brought our dog along and he loved his first holiday in Northumberland. It was ideal for him and he enjoyed his walk along the beach every morning . The hotel staff could not do enough for you & the breakfast was delicious ! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone .
This hotel is very dog friendly. I was able to book a table each evening so that my two large dogs (Greyhounds) had enough space. A pre packed doggy dinner was available. The room I booked had a garden, again great for dog owners. Staff were friendly towards both dogs and me. Also very good was that a free drink was offered to encourage geen laundry options.
Kirsty made us very welcome , the rooms are all spotless , the breakfasts excellent, everything cooked to perfection. Great location , easy walk to the harbour and the cyclepath to Bamburgh only 100m away. Good choice of restaurants , shops , main road not busy. Great cycling to Beadnell Bay and Bamburgh.
A great little apartment in the town centre with all the comforts of home . A good self catering option after many days of travelling and eating out . Parking on site and a short walk to cafes supermarkets pubs and the beach . A good base as it is close to villages of interest in the area .
A lovely traditional pub/ hotel within a short distance of seahouses harbour. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food excellent, especially breakfast! Very quiet rooms which were clean and spacious. Excellent bar with good selection of cask ales
The location was amazing! Just a few steps to the pub and the Town.the quietness of the cottage belied it’s position overlooking the harbour. Worth staying here for the views from the balcony and lounge area. Lovely bedding and towels.
Rooms were clean and spacious with a comfy bed. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much to ask for. The steak night was lovely would definitely recommend. 10 minute walk to seahouses so excellent location.
Islestone House is a warm spacious well equipped house which is ideally located in Seahouses. It is a brilliant base for either a family or 3 couples due to its 2 lounge areas, 3 bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet.
Host was very friendly and helpful the room was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated.
The location was good very easy to walk into town and quite central for driving around the area to see the sights.
The location is excellent. It was the little things and touches that the owners make so special. They also go the extra mile when asked about places to visit and eat around the surrounding areas.
The property is very well equipped and everything is immaculate. It is very well placed right in the centre of Seahouses, within a couple of minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs.
The greeting of the owner and the bottle of Prosecco placed in room on our request
The Snug was cosy, comfortable and immaculate. Quiet and peaceful location yet in the heart of Seahouses
Great stay in Seahouses. Liked the room, spacious, cosy and clean, well presented. Great hosts, knowlegdable on the area and very welcoming. Good Breakfast selection and in a Quiet spot.
Suzanne and Steve were the perfect example of hosts. Happy and courteous and always ready to top up your tea or offer advice regarding the area. A credit to Seahouses.
