Wonderful stay of 3 nights. We aren’t the first and no doubt the last to be treated to Louise’s generous hospitality. Her culinary and catering background show, as does her meticulous attention to detail. Towels, toiletries, every need...

Tudor Cottage
Tudor Cottage is a small and intimate thatched Grade 2 Listed Tudor Cottage, built circa. 1540. It has stone arches, a medieval carved stone over the magnificent inglenook, creaky floors, steep, narrow old stairs and Tudor beams all carefully blended with 21st century comfort and style. Centrally situated in beautiful West Dorset, it is 4 miles from Dorchester and about 25 minutes drive from the spectacular Jurassic coast. Bedrooms are light and airy with unusually high ceilings, en suite facilities, flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh fruit and homemade biscuits. Breakfast is a gourmet feast with full cooked breakfast using locally sourced produce, homemade muesli and granola, Tudor Cottage special poached plums, steeped pears, a selection of fresh fruits, toasted homemade bread with homemade marmalade and preserves and much more.
After many years running her own catering business, Louise is now thoroughly enjoying running Tudor Cottage, making it the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind in complete comfort. Two cats also live in the property; they keep a low profile and are not permitted in guests' bedrooms
Tudor Cottage is in the centre of beautiful West Dorset and in the heart of Hardy country. It is an area with pretty villages, cosy pubs and beautiful wide and tranquil landscapes; close to the Jurassic coast with its spectacular coastal paths, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Golden Cap. Corfe Castle and the ever popular Monkey World are a short drive away, as are National Trust properties including Thomas Hardy's Cottage and Max Gate, T.E. Lawrence's Clouds Hill, Kingston Lacey and Montacute House as well as a rich selection of magnificent Dorset gardens such as those at Minterne Magna and Forde Abbey.
