The village of Neatishead is a quiet and unspoilt area of Norfolk. Although small, the village is home to several amenities including a pub, village shop, swimbarn (time share pool, bookable online), hair and beauty salon as well as its own staithe. The White Horse Inn is just a few minute’s walk from Violet Lodge, and serves food and a range of beers from their own in house brewery. Also within walking distance is the community owned village shop selling fresh bread, grocery essentials, confectionery. You will also find freshly ground coffee and a selection of cakes available. The surrounding lanes are a great place to walk and cycle. There are numerous idyllic country lanes and cycle routes to choose from including Weaver's Way, Paston Way and Marriot's Way. The Barton Boardwalk is a fantastic way to see the Barton Broad. Nearby, Alderfen Broad nature reserve is also accessible on foot. Budding photographers will find the area a beautiful spot for landscape photography, particularly with Norfolk's big skies as the backdrop.
