Centrally located, this nice and cozy 2R apartment is for young and dynamic visitors who love pubs and parties but also for those in love with art, museums, and culture. It is perfect for couples, families, and backpack guests for short or longer-term visits. The apartment is very bright, with a lot of natural light and sun. You also have a panoramic view of the roofs of Budapest with its buildings and churches. You can see the Danube and Gellert Hill with the Statue of the Victory illuminated at night from the windows! There is a nice balcony full of flowers and nice colors. The apartment has an ultra-modern, recently refurbished kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, but two adjoining rooms bring the atmosphere of the old times. If you like antique furniture, old paintings, and books in international languages, all this carefully combined with some modern elements (with modern beds), I am sure you will like the eclectic melange of the interior that resembles the space of historical houses from the beginning of the 20th century. So, if you are looking for an apartment with character and spirit, I am sure you will find it in its coziness and the colors of its room, but if you are looking for a clean and modern kitchen, bathroom, and toilet - you will select the right place to make your stay in this charming and dynamic city very special. The apartment is perfect for quiet nights, only a few steps from the nearby crowded tourist spots, major promenades, and historical sites. As Lonyay Street is in the city center, sometimes it is difficult to find parking in front of the building. However, there are 2 public garages in the vicinity where you can park your car for cc. 15 euros per day. Before you arrive, please contact me on WhatsApp, and I will send you a precise geolocation. Well, what to say about me, I studied history and archaeology, love art and architecture, and like to meet with other people and offer them security and intimacy in my space.
The apartment is almost in the heart of the city center. It is perfect for those enjoying cultural events and sightseeing but for those interested in parties and intensive nightlife. However, if you would just like to relax, enjoy your famous Eszterhazy cake and coffee in the nearby sweet house, or just watch Danube boats passing by, everything is just on the corner. Apartment is in short walking distance to the Museum of the Applied Arts, Central Budapest Market one of the biggest and most important in Budapest and thus, to famous pedestrian Vaci street. If you would like to explore the 9th district, you can start with Bakacs square where you can see a church designed by Miklos Ybl (the main opera house architect) and have a coffee and a cake in a nearby bakery or sweet house or just have a bear in the nearby local pub. You can then continue walking along the Raday street which is full of fine restaurants and small galleries. As you see the Danube from the window, you can enjoy Nehru Park and the Danube riverfront, which has some nice pubs and restaurants. Tram # 2 is the panoramic experience, and within only 10 minutes, you can reach the top locations in the city, including Chain Bridge and the Parliament. You are also close to the new 21st century modern city center in the south of the city, where the new National Theater has been erected, along with the Ludwig Museum (Museum of Modern Art), and magnificent building of the new Palace of Music.
