A gem in the centre of the vibrant town of Listowel. The room and the hotel facilities were are a modernized version of a traditional grand hotel. The building had a sense of history, situated on the town square and backing on to the River Feale, close to the river path and Greenway.

We loved this place! We originally booked because the Listowel Arms Hotel was full, and this lovely home is literally right next door.
Maurice was a great host. There were snacks and coffee/tea in the hall. We had our own room and a shared bathroom with one other guest. Our host left clean towels in our room, and still water and glasses.
We attended a music festival in the Square and were literally steps from it! The other guest in the next room had a drink with us in the hotel next door as well.
You could not stay at a better location. We loved it and would come back!

We have visited Listowel on many occasions before and find it a pleasant market town with some nice shops and friendly locals. This holiday we spent more time in Ballybunnion and Tralee. Ballybunnion has a great beach and also a leisure centre with swimming pool which is easily accessible. Tralee is a big town with a great leisure centre like an indoor Aquapark and Kerry Museum and Siamsa Tire - National Folk Theatre for Ireland, that hosts cultural events and traditional Irish Dancing. Listowel is 10 minute drive, Ballybunnion is 15 minutes drive from Baker's Cross and Tralee is a half hour drive.

Listowel is a lovely town with great outdoor recreational facilities and a strong history of celebrating literature and writers. It is a good base from high to explore northwest Kerry, from the Dingle Peninsula to Ballybunion and Foynes, where transatlantic flying boats used to land. For those unused to Irish roads and streets there are the challenges of driving on the left hand side and some tight turns and through ways, but that’s no different than driving anywhere in Ireland. I like the fact that it is not a town that gets inundated with tourists. The food at the Listowel Arms was excellent, as is the Horseshoe Bar. Woulfe’ s bookshop is worth a browse and the risk of leaving with several purchases. The greenway is a fabulous community resource.

Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland.
Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland. It has lots of facilities and pubs with live music. And a nice river to walk along it. It is surrounded by countryside. It's a clean place too. There's a very nice hotel, the only one in the area where you can eat and have a drink.
You can easily walk around the town. And the castle! Although quite destroyed, still good to visit and hear about its history.
Ideal place to stay for touring North Kerry, on direct route to the sea at Ballybunion and the town of Tralee. Listowel an interesting friendly town and Castle View is directly across the road from a good size supermarket. Eleanor met us with the keys and an apple tart and showed us around the apartment, was easily contactable and very pleasant. Towels supplied and comfortable sittingroom with multichannel T.V and good Wi-fi. Nice panoramic view from the window. Kitchen well supplied and spotless clean. Looking forward to our next visit.
Breakfast was terrific! Cooked to order every morning. Don't miss the warm scones. Behan's is a great location in the center of town. We had dinner their twice and everything was fresh, hot and served well. It was a great location to visit many of the sights in Southern Ireland. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and certainly recommend them to all.
Everything about Racecourse veiw is excellent, Noreen the host will do anything for you, she even helped us when my partner caught the flu. Noreen could not have been more helpful. The breakfast is great she when bought extra fruit for my partner lto have. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Our family booked the room at the last minute and our host was very helpful and accomodating. We had breakfast in the downstairs restaurant the next morning which we all enjoyed. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would stay there again if we are back in Listowel.
Location brilliant as close proximity to Listowel town, pubs restaurants and only 15 minute walk to race course which was fantastic, will be back if available again for races. Hostess was very chatty and friendly and fellow guests were all chatty also.
