Loved exploring the city, lots to see and most things were easily accessible on foot! Bought a three day leap travel card which was excellent value and meant we could visit a few seaside places
Trinity college campus is beautiful and was very close to the accommodation so we walked through the college grounds rather than following the busy main road
The Silk Road cafe at Dublin Castle was a real find - excellent food at a reasonable price

Dublin might not seem as likeable or picturesque as other European cities, but has its own undeniable charm that lingers in your memory long after you leave it.
Public transport is not the best, we struggled a bit with the system and witht the TFI app, but generally ok.
Public toilets are hard to find (if there are any).
The city centre is beautifully walkable.

It is a friendly city and I felt safe travelling around.
It is a friendly city and I felt safe travelling around. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The Book of Kells exhibition at Trinity College was excellent and the Jameson's Whiskey Distillery is not to be missed.
Everything is within easy walking distance.
Easy access to other side of river. Your service manager, Gabriel, was a gem. Sharp fellow. I needed a plug in charging unit to accommodate my US devices and where I had previously stayed in SW Ireland, both hotels and supplied same. Gabriel overheard my conversation w one of your desk staff, saw I was mildly annoyed, came up and offered help, to wit: he offered me the use of HIS charger plug in during the duration of my trip. That was gracious and he clearly was a very customer oriented manager. That was extremely appreciated.
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable room and great location. Clontarf road is a 10 minute walk with lovely views and nice cafes. Bus to Dublin City centre is very accessible as well, great location. Myself and my husband stayed for our wedding anniversary, we ate at the Fahrenheit restaurant where staff guessed it was our anniversary. We had a beautiful meal and the service was above and beyond. I also needed a jump-start on my car and the staff were so unbelievably helpful, can’t thank them or commend them enough.
Comfy compact room with everything you need. Had A great nights sleep. toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, plenty of towels, air con / heating , tea coffee and biscuits, check out at 11 so time to recover from a great night around dublin. Car park 2 min walk just across the road. Could not fault the room it was perfect for our little stop off around Ireland. Lovely friendly staff and I hope the bar lady managed to book herself a nice holiday !!
Amazing experience from start to finish. As it was our honeymoon, they upgraded us to the Royal Suite at no extra charge. The suite was simply the best place we've ever stayed. Rainwater shower, huge comfortable 4 poster bed, and our own observatory complete with telescope so we could see all of Dublin. The meals were good and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We loved our stay at Clontarf and we will be back when we visit Ireland again!
This is probably the nicest, cleanest, best run Hostel we've stayed in, in many years of traveling around Ireland. Clean, clean! Great mattresses, pillows a bit thin, but that's the only negative comment I can make. Nice self catering kitchen, has a car park inside the gated courtyard, a huge bonus in Dublin. It costs €10 a night extra, but well worth it. It's close to city centre and transit systems. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Lovely hotel near the city centre. Rooms are clean and spacious and special praise goes to the friendly and accommodating staff, we arrived a bit earlier than planned and they let us in our room for an early check in.
Practically everywhere can be reached on foot from the hotel and public transport passes not far from the hotel. We had a lovely weekend in the hotel and if we come back to Dublin, we will surely stay here again.
We can definitely recommend this hotel. It has a great location to the busy city centre. You can choose between an Irish breakfast and a continental breakfast. Continental was good. Bar was nice, you can sit downstairs, or outside. Food in the restaurants was great. Live music/Irish dance, we really enjoyed this during dinner.
Rooms were comfortable.
I would definitely come back to this hotel for my next trip to Dublin.
Arlington Hotel is a real find!
Superb location and right in the heart of the city centre.
Great facilities and comfortable accommodation with great food and drinks in the restaurant/bar at the street level. Live entertainment every night was also welcome.
Awesome access to everything Dublin City has to offer and the public transport is easy to access.
All while being responsibly priced.
The hotel is very nice looking, on a traditional property. Our room was modern and very quiet, bed was comfortable and we had a very relaxing time at Pembroke Hall.
Though the hotel is on a quiet street, there are grocery stores, restaurants and pubs at very short walking distance. Most Dublin attractions and the city centre are a 20-30min walk away.
The room was tidy and perfect for two days visit in Dublin. Located in calm area but close to the city centre. We were kindly assisted to our room and explained how everything works.
Even there is a pub downstairs it did not made any extra noises into our room. The pub staff were friendly and pints served were heavenly as usual in Ireland.
New Hotel. Nice decor and comfortable and quiet rooms. Access to tram service is immediately outside of hotel and takes you anywhere in the city easily. Quick access via tram to and from the Heuston train station makes it a great location if you are coming or going to Southern Ireland via train and need a hotel in Dublin.
The location was great. It was near a bus line and theatres too (if you have time for that). Breakfast was great with a big assortment. The hotel had character with it's windy halls and wood trim. We forgot the plugs for the UK/Ireland and they were available for sale in the lobby (coin machine).
A very nice boutique hotel and in a very central location, staff were friendly and helpful. Dublin is an extremely overpriced city but the hotel was very stylish and comfortable and the weekend rate reflects the same general rate of other similar hotels in the city centre. .
Iveagh Garden Hotel is in a great location - walking distance to St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, & Trinity College! Room was well-appointed & comfortable and staff was excellent! We had a wonderful experience at the hotel and excellent start to our travels in Ireland!
It is student accommodation that is let out in the summer as a hotel, it is great for people on a budget and it not too far on the tram to Dublin city centre. Get the visitor 3/7 day leapm card if you are visiting as it is much better than the pay as you go cards.
Fantastic room, amazing bath and shower, really nice breakfast , staff where so kind and helpful got complementary breakfast the best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland had the junior suite definitely worth the extra money especially for special occasions
This was our last stop on a 10 day trip to Ireland. The hotel provides so many special amenities. Really convenient and fun base for touring Dublin. Staff gets extra points for help they gave me when I needed to extend our stay.
Great location in Dublin City Centre near Trinity College, Temple Bar and the shopping district. Very contemporary hi-tech hotel room. Small. but well laid out, quiet and perfect for a solo traveler.
