Hotel/hostel in a former boarding school. On-site pool and hot tub were unexpected. Gravel running track. Rural setting was very quiet. Kitchen was convenient. Many places to sit and read. Nice breakfast. Clean restrooms. Convenient to Blönduós.

The only place where there was a human being at reception to welcome us. Much cleaner than other hotels I've stayed at. Simple/modest room but with all the amenities. Giant bathroom and huge shower. Very quiet.

The rooms are part of the school. Our room had shower, there were showers outside at the hall for those who didn't. There's shared community kitchen.

The staff were super helpful and kept the rooms and bathrooms very clean. The gym was a nice additions but could use at least 1 handball and some other equipment to make it usable.

Interesting concept taking a former dormitory school and turning it into a hotel. It is very clean and the employees are great. Expect a dormitory style stay. It was a good value for Iceland so we would stay here again.

We found this on a whim because we had gone to the wrong guesthouse so we had to find somewhere else to stay. We were pleasantly surprised! When we pulled up we thought we were at a school until we saw the hotel sign. It ended up being super cool...
