Alba Sarda ia a big lie about everything. The front gate was not closing without being actually locked.Iglesias is nice but that property asked us 500 Q for 7 nights ! I wouldn't pay more than 300 !
When I asked about parking she sent me a voice message on Whatsapp in a very slang italian so I can't understand!
Because they haven't got any parking;what a shame!

Iglesias is underrated but is the perfect starting point to visit the beautiful surrounding coast, hike the Santa Barbara walk, visit geologically remarkable caves, and interesting old mining sites.
During the Holy week preceding Easter (actually Tuesday to Tuesday) you will be able to admire the big Easter processions and century old rituals. Highly recommended

The city of Iglesias is the right place to be in September.
The city of Iglesias is the right place to be in September. It is still quite warm and one can not only wonder around the old town but also to have some hiking experience. It is quite close to the sea - you can rent an e-bile in Gonnesa and go more smoothly to the seaside. I highly recommend this city.

Iglesias itself was a surprise.
Iglesias itself was a surprise. The downtown was bustling, music concert going on in the evening, lots of people, some good shopping, excellent restaurants, and lots to see. Around Iglesias are some stunning beaches like Cala Domestica and the road going north along the coast is incredibly beautiful. So far, Costa Verde is one of my favourite areas.

Very good osteria.
Very good osteria. Osteria Tastaddu had great locally sourced food, Historical centre many churches. Good bus routes (buy tickets on dropbox app and see times on Arst orario app) to Nebia and Masua (best for beaches). Also to carbonia, Casetta on St anticio island and to Portovesme (for Carloforte ferry) and Portoscuso, I hired a car ione weekend and went to the Antras Temple; mote SIrai but msaybe best site was the Nuraghe Serucci which in fact os a complete nuraghic village. The Mining museum in Iglesias is worth a visit and the guided tour useful. The market is excellent for local cheese, fish and meat. Easy train ride from Elmas airport (change in Villamassargia). Be aware for many Italian is a second language after Sardinian and not many people speak foreign languages here.

We visited during New Year's week, a lot of attractions and restaurants were closed due to low season. We only saw a handful of other tourists in town.
That said, the restaurants that were open were cozy and good value.
The first impression when you arrive at the location, you are wondering if you are in the right place.
But the minute you walk in, you feel like you just entered a very spacious, clean and nicely done mine (in an absolute positive way!!)
The theme of the hotel is well-elaborated and everything fits well together.
The public areas and especially the backyard are super nice, with a little BBQ area, orange trees and a small turtle. Breakfast is good, if you want fresh produce you can store it in the big fridge in the kitchen.
Travel restrictions in Italy have been eased just a week ago.
We were traveling arround Sardinia without specific plan and I've booked accomodation just few hours previous to our arrival. At the end we were the only guests on the estate.
The host was exceptional firendly, prepared everything accortding to our requirements, prepared fire for grill, offered full a'la carte dinner menu.... and dinner was very good.
Very clean, comfortable room in the centre of Iglesias. Check-in was a little tricky, and there is no parking. However, there is street parking behind the building that is inexpensive with an attendant to collect cash and issue a ticket and we always found a spot. Parking is free outside of peak hours. A very good breakfast is offered at a restaurant nearby run by the same people who run the B&B.
This is not the Ritz, but if you like to stay in an authentic Sardinian town, with few tourists from Scandinavia and rest of Europe it is really nice. Rental is a must and the area is a perfect base to visit several perfect beaches and beautiful places. And train to Cagliari is less than an one hour. The host os serviceminded and a nice guy. Give answers and do his best always.
The b&b is strategically located for exploring all the best spots of the South of Sardinia. The breakfast served every morning is simply superb for quality and variety of choice. The room is spacious, extremely clean and has all the comforts. The host is extremely gentle, attentive and offers tons of tips for making the best out of your trip.
Everything was perfect about this apartment: new, spotless, very well located, sunny, extremely well equipped. The hosts have been superhelpful and kind even before we arrived. It is a perfect starting point to visit Iglesias and, during the Easter week, it even allows to watch the processions from the balcony.
Great value for money.
Welcoming sight after 60km on a bicycle! The staff were friendly, the Room comfortable. The typical Sardinian dinner was excellent! Especially loved the antipasti and appetizers. And the limoncello and mirto were a bonus.
Nice variety for breakfast.
And seeing the sheep grazing next to the lodge was rustic.
Comfy flat with the interesting Sardinian theme. It's short travel from Iglesias, Carbonia, Portoscuso, so works well for travelling around with a car. Away from the city, so it's great for star gazing at night. Very good price.
Great place to stay at Iglesias and to explore the area. Very nice and helpful host, gave a lot of recommendations to explore Iglesiente and on restaurants. Breakfast is good, easy check-in. Also a good value in November 😀
The interior decor is unique and really outstanding.
Staff professional and friendly. Covered complimentary car parking, position, a la carte breakfast. These are all good reason to consider this hotel in future.
Great location in the middle of Iglesias. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. USB charging points by the beds made charging devices easy. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
Great breakfast to start the day. Amazing views from the balcony. Quiet surroundings, comfortable beds. This hotel is great choice and value for money for a simple short stay.
The hotel is old fashion but in a good way. All decoration is consistent with the style. Comfortable, free parking, and very good breakfast for an excellent price.
Amazing sardegnian hospitality we received from the owner, spacious beautiful house with everything you might need or want, terrific view of the Iglesias.
Quick response from the owner. Apartment had everything you need for the stay. Location in the center of Iglesias which makes it easy to travel around.
