Sciara Etna Home is in Linguaglossa, in the small village of Catena on the slopes of Mount Etna, the largest volcano in Europe. The contemporary Mediterranean-style house with all comforts: large living room, open space kitchen, two large bedrooms with vaulted ceiling, bathroom with a sink, toilet, bidet, and a large shower. From the small veranda, you enter the garden, with a view of Mount Santo, divided into a relaxation area and an organic garden. The relaxation area consists of a terrace, living room and brick barbecue, table and chairs for outdoor dining. The lawn extends to the edge of the fence where the organic vegetable garden begins. The garden is cultivated with seasonal vegetables and fruit in particular there are prickly pears mediterranean area, a fig tree, a large chestnut tree, and various vegetables such as cherry tomatoes, beans, broccoli and various types of vegetables grown according to the season. From the garden you can access a small lava stone tower located high up and specially designed to admire the view in solitude or in sweet company.
The Catena hamlet tells a story. The town of Linguaglossa was also threatened by the eruption of Etna in 1923, to the point that the citizens of Linguaglossa carried the stick of the patron saint "SANT'EGIDIO" to the hamlet of Catena and a few meters from where they rested this stick they obtained the miracle to stop the lava and so the country escaped destruction.
