About this property

Located in the Gokayama hot-spring area, Gokasanso offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations with a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. The air-conditioned rooms feature a private toilet, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Bathrooms are shared with all other guests. A bedside lamp makes use of locally produced washi, Japanese traditional paper. Local gifts can be purchased at the souvenir shop and sauna rooms are available as well. Guests can enjoy a traditional Gokayama music performance at the lobby on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the public areas. A traditional multi-course meal is served for dinner and a Japanese set-menu for breakfast. All meals are served at the dining room. UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shirakawago Historic Village is a 30-minute drive away. World Heritage Sites, Suganuma and Ainokura Village are both a 10-minute drive and Taira Ski Resort is a 15-minute bus ride away.

    The hotel is located on a mountain with a great view. The room was quite big but had no private bathroom only toilet. However there was a public bath which was very nice.
