The room is very large and comfortable. They provide drinking water and toiletries. There's a TV but I didn't watch it so can't comment on the availability of channels. There's plenty of restaurants for good food, shops and atms nearby. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the bus offices. The tuk tuk driver who offers tours here is great and is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly.

The bedroom was very spacious and the perfect size for 3 of us with our backpacks. The beds were so comfy too. The TV was a great addition as well, especially because it had Netflix! Mainly, what we loved about this property was that it was run by the most lovely, friendly family, who gave us desserts and breakfast snacks from their own kitchen as a treat! We would definitely go back.

A relatively untouched area of Cambodia, still retaining colonial charm. It lives in the past to some degree, and is the antithesis to the mish mash of Phnom Penh development. The riverside is still the place to stroll or even exercise, and the surrounding countryside is lovely, with nice views from some of the higher locations. I ate at the homes of Khmer friends, and we had driven up from PP, so getting around was as easy/difficult as any journey on overcrowded Cambodian roads!

Not one of the top travel spots yet.

Not one of the top travel spots yet. Battambang town doesn't stand out as anything special compared to other places in Cambodia. It doesn't really have anything special, and is very dusty all around. However, it is ideal for a day trip (max 2 nights) from Siem Reap if you have time. There are unique experiences that are on the outskirts of town : 1/ Bamboo Train (touristy but still good enough. especially if you can manage to beat the tourist vans in the morning, then it's just you on the train (train ride is about 15 mins each way) 2/ Killing Caves (get there at about 4-430pm, stay for about 30 mins) 3/Bat cave (super cool experience, stay there only for about 30 mins max in the evening

To really enjoy your visit tp Battambang, tuk tuk tour of area is esential. I took a 12 hour tour with driver / guide Samol, unforgettable day packed with experiences and very good value. Best parts streed food sampling, seein local artisanal food production, bamboo train, million bats getting out od cave. And of course the guide himself.

Gave a good feeling of real-life in Cambodia, away from the tourist crowds. The town has a fine old french colonade along the river. Very beautiful. The local market is worth a visit. Highly interesting are the temples in the surroundings, ex the Banan temple. A visit to some of the commemoration sites also outside the town showing the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge in the nineteen seventies, is a must not to forget what happended.

I homestayed with the O'hamok family - incredible real Cambodian experience. We toured at my pace, I have never experienced this level of relaxation throughout my travels. I only wished I could speak Khmer and or French so that I could have contributed more to conversations but we got by easily with english.

We loved our stay at Esaro's and his company! So authentic, so beautiful and relax days! This is not a typical stay at a hotel so people decided to stay there they should do their research! For us was just one of the best days in Cambodia! We learned a lot and we saw things that if we had stayed at the city we would not! We so much appreciate this! We also arranged a nice tour with him too and we got a very insight of the region! I wish Esaro good luck and I hope to meet him again!

Incredible hotel in lush grounds, with excellent food and wonderful staff. The setting is authentic Cambodian style buildings set around a pretty lotus pond, with a good swimming pool and lovely gardens. Everything spotlessly clean. The elegant and charming Mr Kim and his wife run a very sophisticated yet unpretentious hotel. All the staff friendly and welcoming. We loved it all, enjoyed all the meals we ate there, and had a great day tour out with Rith in his tuk-tuk.

Staff were so friendly and helpful! Our air con didn’t work in our original room and they changed us to a new room no problems. They also picked us up from the bus station free of charge. Very helpful changing our big dollar notes into smaller change for us. We booked a tuk tuk tour with David at reception and this was one of our biggest highlights of our trip to Cambodia so far. He was informative and helpful and taught us so much about local life in Battambang.

With its very rich wooden architecture this hotel was in the perfect location for New Year’s Eve, as Battambang’s NYE party and fireworks was right outside. The rooftop restaurant is spectacular with a 360 degree view all over the city. My Tuk Tuk driver took me on a personal tour each day to see for example how sticky rice and rice wine was made. Fabulous breakfast options and you can eat by the pool! The staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10.

Mr. Lay and his family were wonderful hosts. We felt at home right away. He immediately helped us find a great restaurant for lunch and dinner and follow-on transportation to our next destination in Cambodia. We also enjoyed the homemade cakes and tea after our dinner. The room was comfortable, clean, and cool. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Thank you for everything. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a lovely resort and we took 2 rooms with an extra bed added for 3rd child. The rooms are lovely and large and a nice bathroom, lovely veranda with some cooking facilities if needed and table and chairs. We did nt use the pool at this hotel but the one at the adjoining hotel, which was lovely with table tennis and a really nice lunch menu

It's certainly different of any guesthouse/hotel, I've ever stayed in. I'd the best sleep in days due to the peaceful and quiet location. No cars or motorbikes' noise. But what really makes this place great is the owner. He goes out of his way to help you in anything you need. He's the kindest person I met in Cambodia. I would come back again.

All the facilities are clean and well maintained offering comfort, security and a social vibe all at a remarkably reasonable price. Food and cocktails in the restaurant downstairs are some of the best I’ve had in Cambodia. Thank you pomme.
