The hotel and rooms are very comfy. The staff was exceptional. I asked to check out late because my bus was leaving at 6pm and there was a small fee but they made it happen. We ate ate the hotel and the food was pretty good and we also ordered drinks while at the pool and their Piña Colada's are awesome. The Hotel is a block away from the bus stop which was one of the reasons I picked it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is really well kept and the staff & maintenance is amazing! Our dietary restrictions were well taken care of & the food itself was really tasty, which was hard to get as vegetarians in the region. The rooms also were really spacious and amazing, and made you want to spend time in them. However, would have to say that the hotel is on the more expensive side in general.

Enjoyed visiting the ruins at Palenque, well worth seeing as they were in more of a tropical setting than some of the ruins we visited around Mexico City and it is still permitted to climb up to the top of some of the ruins. While visiting the ruins it was also possible to take a short jungle walk back down to the entrance. The town of Palenque itself was quite pretty with plenty of places to eat and the people were very friendly and helpful. We also took a trip out to Misal Ha and Agua Azul waterfalls which were interesting and fun as it is possible to swim in these areas.

I didn’t spend much time in the town, I was there for the ruins. Definitely take the tour though the jungle to see the ruins that are still covered with trees. Climb through the ancient Mayan Aqua duct, see the monkeys and try eating some termites. The whole experience in the jungle adds immensely to the site.
My guide was Victor, he speaks Spanish and English, very knowledgeable, well worth the money.

We stayed one night in town to visit the ruins
- had a good coffee
- nice evening walk in the town
- farmacies availeble
The ruins of Palenque was beautifull, due to construction/care-taking we could nog visist al the temples. I was sick at the time, but there were enough toilets on inside and outside the domain.
There is a second part more into the jungle where you can see more wild animals but my body was not up for that. As far as we could understand it does take a tour to do this second part.

You can spend weeks in that region easily, because there are too many beautiful things to visit and do. Waterfalls, Maya ruins, hours and hours of hiking in the jungle is all possible and must do. Palenque and Chiapas state offers lifetime adventures. Can rental is essential as the public transport is not really safe for tourists.

The big attraction for tourists to go to Palenque are the Mayan ruins nearby. The ruins are not that impressive. At the time of our visit, the area you could walk around was restricted to only the large buildings. Every few feet was a vendor selling all the same things as the neighbor vendor. This made it feel so commercialized and distracted from being able to enjoy the atmosphere of the ruins. Tikal blows this place away. The museum was pretty good. The town has a few shady blocks with some excellent restaurants in the tourist district, but the rest of the town is not all that special.
The location is great— right at the beginning of the road that leads into the Palenque ruins, so you’re at the start of the jungle but still close to town (and you still have phone service and WI-FI connectivity). My room was fairly basic although I loved the little terrace facing trees. And the common areas are lovely. Yes the pool is small but it was very refreshing at the end of the day. And the hammocks and little bed hanging under the trees were so relaxing!
Just beautiful! My boyfriend and me had a wonderful time here in Kin balam. The hotel complex is very welcoming, the personal is very friendly and helpful, the beds and shared bathrooms are clean and comfortable to use, and the restaurant serves great options of breakfast. It’s nice to be surrounded by the jungle after a long day adventuring the ruins or waterfalls.
We would come back if we bist Palenque again. We can really recommend this place to everyone!!
This place is really lovely, a quiet oasis in the jungle on the edge of Palenque town. A semi-detached bungalow was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, there are a couple of restaurants for dinner in walking distance. It is only a few minutes drive to the ruins. And there are also the rescued monkeys in their own enclosure in the garden, you can visit them and the staff are happy to tell you more if you are interested.
We had a comfortable stay for 2 nights. We liked the location with easy access to Palenque ruins. There were also a couple of restaurants nearby. We had dinner two nights in a row at Paraiso and it was quite good - excellent pizza! Adriana made fresh and hearty breakfasts for us each morning and it was fun chatting with her about her work rescuing the monkeys. We enjoyed all the dogs and cats too.
Arguably one of the top hotels in town, and yet not very expensive. Overall comfort is much above average. They also have a nice open air lobby, with a pool right in the middle of it, with sun loungers and hammocks. The reception guy helped me a lot with reservation of train tickets ("Tren Maya" is completely new thing and it is not easy).
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Chablis, in August 2023. Lovely, large room with balcony, impeccably clean (cleaned everyday), friendly, helpful service, and lovely pool. My family (me and my children aged 15 and aged 12) had a lovely time and would go back again.
Good location, close to ADO bus station and other restaurants and cafes.
One of the best hotels in Palenque. The owner, Mr Marco Antonio Morales, was around one day and he was always extremely helpful and nice to us. The hotel is perhaps in the best location of Palenque, comfortable and clean. The area is nice, the facilities and surroundings are spectacular as well as the views.
10 stars -- amazing spot in Palenque. Wonderful room in the middle of the jungle, very peaceful. Excellent and flexible staff -- we left our bags there when visiting the ruins and they let us hang out in the garden and use their good wifi before we had to take the night bus. Love this place!
The hotel is well located, a few minutes walking from the city center. Great bed, the room was very clean, the shower is just awesome, good breakfast and very welcoming people - they let us in as soon as we arrived from an overnight and tiresome bus trip!!!
Great place to stay in Palenque!
The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, and the host is super friendly.
The location is great, a safe and quiet neighborhood. Every day, we saw big, colorful parrots, just a block away towards the center.
Nice lush and green grounds and clean swimming pool, kind and professional staff, the food was great and affordable. Could grab a colectivo right outside the hotel and it was convenient to the ruins and Aluxes.
Hotel integrated within the jungle
Good restaurant inside the hotel
Big room
Nice pool
Possible to order breakfast/sandwiches to take away
Near the Palenque archeologic site
Free Parking
Nice place near Maya ruin. Good restaurant and nice swimming pool. There are mosquitos, the hotel is in the jungle. Could be a little loud if your bungalow is close to the main road.
Great location for the Palenque ruins and communication for organising tours was excellent. The design of the hotel is in-keeping with the Mayan culture that you’re here to see.
We chose this hotel because of its location opposite the ADO coach station as we had tickets to Villahermosa airport for a midday flight to Mexico city.
