You will get to experience Tiny Home living in the beautiful Kaiteriteri Beach environment. This Ruru Tiny Home is self-contained and well appointed. There are two bedrooms on the second floor accessed by a STADDER (STAIR LADDER - SEE PHOTOS). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STADDER AND STEEP BANKS ON THE PROPERTY MAKE IT UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. THE STADDER ALSO REQUIRES A DEGREE OF AGILITY SO IS THEREFORE NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS FLEXIBILITY OR BALANCE PROBLEMS. The bedrooms each have a super-comfortable queen size bed, insect screens and fans for cooling in the summer. There is a full-size kitchen with gas cooking, a lounge and a spacious bathroom with full-size shower, and a washing machine. For heating in winter there is a heat pump and a Wagener log-fire. The sun deck has a Weber bbq and outdoor dining furniture. The tiny home is 15 metres from the main house, but quite separate up it's own pathway in a garden setting. Parking for one vehicle is beside the main house and there is availability for a second car to park but there is no parking available for a boat or a trailer or a caravan.
Retiree Heather loves hosting people from all over New Zealand and the world, and will be happy to meet you, or to give you privacy and leave you to it, as you choose.
It is a five minute walk to the golden sand Kaiteriteri beach or a ten minute walk to the equally beautiful Little Kaiteriteri beach. Kaiteriteri's tidal estuary is across the road. When the tide is in you can swim, paddle board or kayak in the estuary. At Kaiteriteri beach there is a restaurant/cafe overlooking the beach or, for a good old Kiwi pub experience, The Beached Whale. There is a dairy/general store at the beach. Also at the beach stand up paddle boards and kayaks are available for hire (with lessons if required). Ferries leave from the beach on scenic cruises up the coast of the Abel Tasman National Park - whether to drop you to walk the park, or to cruise in the waters and see some beautiful scenery and wildlife - maybe New Zealand fur seals or a little blue penguin bobbing along or a pod of dolphins. The Kaiteriteri mountain bike park with it many diverse trails is right next door. Bikes are available for hire at the beach. As well as mountain-biking in the park there is also the Tasman Great Taste Trail - a scenic cycle trail that will take you on a tour of the region’s most beautiful coastal and inland areas passing breweries, vineyards, orchards, artists and artisans on the way. The trip to the vibrant town of Motueka can be completed as part of the overall journey, or simply as a short ride in itself. Ten minutes walk up the road in the opposite direction from the beach, nestled in lush native bush is the Kimi Ora Eco Resort where you'll find heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa pools, massages, a sauna, steam room and a vegetarian restaurant with an expansive view over the beach. A 10 minute drive away is Marahau, the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.
