Company info

Te Tiro Cottages and Glamping Te Tiro was built to capture the unique beauty of its surroundings. As a family, we felt we should share with others the magic of what has kept us here on the family farm for 5 generations. In any kind of weather the views are breathtaking. The area includes 1000 acres of farm and 660 acres of native bush which have been put into the QE II Trust to protect it for generations to come. Our farm is a fantastic example of what Waitomo is renowned for: caves, glowworms, rough limestone out-crops, lush green fields and friendly people. At present we have a number of walking tracks through our native bush. There are also a number of rock climbing areas which are mapped out for those interested. Caves are scattered throughout the farm and can be accessed by guided trips organised by us. Your hosts: Angus, Rachel, Max and Pippin Stubbs. Angus and Rachel have thirty years of adventure tourism experience between them and would be happy to help organise your stay in Waitomo. Angus was born in Waitomo and grew up exploring the magical limestone landscape of the area. After gaining a degree in Earth Science he travelled through Europe and Africa, eventually.
