The hosts, Fiona and Karl, are lovely! Excellent breakfast: smoothies (She makes the best smoothies!!!), oat porridge, apple blueberry bircher, greek yoghurt, cold eggs, tomatoes, fruit salad, orange juice, cranberry juice, apple juice, tea, coffee (with hot or cold almond milk), water, salmon plate, meat plate, chocolate bread, and several kinds of bread. The room is big, modern and quiet, with 2 showers and 2 wash tables, a mini bar, coffee facilities, excellent WIFI, wardrobe, airco, and terrace with an amazing view. The road to the B&B is a bit bumpy, but OK. There was no TV in the room, but for us not a problem. You definitely need a car, but was not a problem for us. Maybe some shampoo and douche gel in the shower would be nice, but we did not ask for it, so maybe it was available. We loved our stay, hope we come back one day! All the best! Mar de Luz is located in the tranquil hills of Sao Sebastiao with a unique panoramic view of the Algarve, totally absorbed in, and surrounded by nature. With its medieval castle, vibrant market place and burgeoning cafe culture, the historic town of Loule is 7 minutes away. Guests are also only 20 minutes from spectacular beaches, golf courses, and an abundance of fine restaurants. Mar de Luz has just two rooms thereby offering peace and privacy. The Jacaranda room is designed to reflect its cool fresh surroundings with a sense of sophistication. The room has a large double bed and en-suite bathroom. Guests wake to the sounds of nature and look out across the coastline of the Central Algarve. The Olive room is designed to bring the calm and peace of the outside into the room. The room has two supersized singles and a large en-suite bathroom. Guests are just a step away from the terrace which overlooks our Olive Tree garden and the Algarvean coast line in the distance.
