It is nice for people from cold regions to enjoy sunshine from mid of Oct to mid of Feb.
We selected three 10-plus-km hiking trails, which are well maintained.
People are friendly and it is a safe to walk at nights.
We tried to find the best restaurants, but remember many high rating restaurants are close till 7 PM. We have never found a prestigious restaurants, all of foods are average. We dont like any buffets for dinner.
We might catch a covid with cough, trying to find water melon, which looks hard.

We loved the walkability of the beaches in the Portimao area and it's convenience to other areas in the Algarve region. We rented a car and could easily drive throughout the region as well. There were also lots of restaurants and shopping along the Boardwalk area. It has everything to offer...great food, great shopping, and picturesque views/beaches.

We loved the super friendly and helpful people.
We loved the super friendly and helpful people. We were only here for ten days and so, in our experience, not long enough to have any negative impressions. It helps, perhaps, that we visited in November.

The size of the flat and location were very good and fair for the price.
However the flat was very warm from mid morning, which made it difficult to sleep and there wasn't a fan or any other cooling systems.
The wi-fi was not working and we were unable to contact anyone to ask about these, despite the advert saying the there was someone at the entrance of the building and the office near by was closed for the entire period. I would not mind to stay there again, but not during a warm period of time.

Lovely location, near enough to Faro airport to make it convenient via Taxi if needed. Plenty of shops/restaurants/bars (and not just the normal tacky ones). Beaches are beautiful and some of the little villages are stunning. A trip along the coastline to visit the caves is well worth it.

Excellent walking beaches, not crowded in mid October.
Excellent walking beaches, not crowded in mid October. Weather was fantastic. Also very good selection of restaurants and seaside bars. Able to accommodate any budget. The local supermarket was extremely large with quite a selection, and all staff were very friendly and spoke english.
Manuel and Ana. simply the best hosts ever!! They treated me and my friends like family and were very attentive to all our needs. Manuel gave me his personal line. Any queries I had he’ll answer. I even broke out with cold sores in Portugal due to the heat. Ana went to the chemist to buy me medicine. She did not charge me to get it. She paid for it. I will not stay anywhere else when I visit. I officially have Portuguese parents in them both. The view of the beach is spectacular.
They were a very kind and fluent English couple. I was very grateful for coming to pick me up while dragging my suitcase in hot weather to the dorm. Don't suffer like me, use Uber or a taxi from the beginning. And the location and cleanliness of the accommodation was really top notch. Spacious and comfortable, nice swimming pool, will definitely come back to Algarve. The best part was the time we spent on the sea view balcony. Highly recommended.
The staff will go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay and make sure they can accomodate your requests to the best of their abilities.
The pool side waiters will recommend the best the hotel has to offer while tou enjoy the sun.
The location is ideal if you want to be close to almost everything so you can enjoy the party vibe whether with family or just with the wife.
I recommend you take the time to go and enjoy the Spa.
Everything was absolutely amazing! Isabel is the best host you could ask for! She answered all our questions incredibly fast and made check-in process and the stay effortless and perfect. The location is perfect walking distance from the beach and was very clean and spacious. Without a doubt the best value for an accommodation in the heart of Portimao! I would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in Portimao !
Hotel was super clean, rooms had enough space compared to other hotels in Portugal. Bad was also in the right size. WiFi was OK but not super fast. Only be aware, that this hotel is in the old town so some minutes away from the beaches. In the downtown there are multiple restaurants and some bars with can reached by food. There are busses towards the beaches which can be used if you don't want to walk the ~30mins.
The location of this hotel is ideal with several rooms having balconies overlooking the beach. The Praia da Rocha strip is bustling with all the attractions you would expect. A short taxi to the town of Portimao brings in a whole different experience. E.g Fish restaurants, boat trips and local town life. A great hotel very professionally run, a really good experience. Well worth its 4 star rating.
The place is clean.
The reception lady is responsive and did her best to help us.
We were able to check in earlier than we were supposed to.
We were able to leave our bags for 5 hours even after the check out.
The house is well decorated with beautiful plants in the entrance.
It is close to train station.
There is a Pingo doce in 10 mins walking where you can have great meals for cheap price.
The hotel staff was excellent. They helped us book transfer to the airport, and stored our luggage until the departure time, which was fantastic. The hotel is in the quieter part of Portimao, which we really appreciated and very close to the beach. value for money was great, especially that it was Moto GP weekend.
Everything was perfect, the best in Portimao!
Location is excellent, with panoramic view over the city and the ocean and you can see a fabulous sunset from the balcony! The apartment is modern and fully equipped, and the best part is that it is located 5 minutes from the beach.
The host is very helpful and kind.
Wonderful tranquil oasis in Portimao Lovely terrace Area for guest use with various kitchen items to prepare breakfast or a light meal Convenient to bus, supermarket, bakery, restaurants Across from park with kiosk to get a coffee in the morning Awesome staff Fabulous yoga class
Location was great, just a minute or so from the beach, and at one end of Praia Do Rocha strip. Very easy to find and convenient for the Praia do Rocha area. Probably one of the best showers I've had in any Portimao stay in either of the two bathrooms.
Great price quality with an extremely friendly host. The location is quiet at night and close to the most important locations in portimao. Great wifi, free netflix for the kids and a small terrace to enjoy the beautifull weather from algarve.
Our stay was great ! Beautiful villa well located in Portimão (less 5 minutes by car from Praia Da Rocha). The room is well decorated with comfortable bed. Maria welcomes you for breakfast and she is very attentive to every request.
The hotel is right in front of the Marina, the pools are easily accessible from the lower ground rooms and the deck where breakfast is served is very pleasant. The breakfast spread is quite nice, even for a 4 star hotel
