ALAMEDA EXCLUSIVE HOUSE is located in Faro, within a 14-minute walk of Old Town Faro and 0.9 miles of Faro Marina. Brand new, beautiful rooms, fantastic staff
If you're looking for tons of tourist-y stuff to do, just stay for a day. If relaxing and visiting as if you live like a local sound good to you, stay for a week or more. Friendly, warm, and welcoming environment.
Our experience of Faro was of sunny weather, warm hospitality, and very tasty food. We didn't quite make it to the beach on our short visit, but the warmth and hospitality of the locals have convinced us to come back and try for that again.
A nice small town, pleasant. A nice fishmarket. It is a pity that the city tourist information is not familiar with the rich Jewish history, including the fact that the first Guttenberg printing of books in Portugal apparently occurred there, by a Jew. There is a mural, but the Jewish angle is not mentioned.
Not much in Faro, but get a train to Tavira which is a nice place to visit for the afternoon and a bus to Albufeira if you want a beautiful beach and a little more variety. The bus station in Albufeira is a good walk to the town and beach is further but it’s nice to explore. Faro, has a Bohemia beer bar with all varieties of IPA and locally made brews and the bartender is very knowledgeable about them. The homemade cookies they sell are the best thing you will ever taste. The pizzeria on the waterfront is a good place to eat not too expensive and IL castelo is good for a cocktail in the sun. You can also get the train or bus to Lagos or Lisbon or Seville from Faro which is great and not overpriced. If you forget to change Currency into Euros, Faro town doesn’t have a place. There’s a western union at the Forum Algarve an outdoor shopping mall between Faro and the airport near the supermarket Jumbo. Faro is easy to walk around, easy accessibility to get places and enjoy your trip to the Algarve and easy to get the bus from / to the airport for €2:35 each way.
We spent a day exploring the old town and enjoyed some good food. We spent a day on the spit of land where the beaches are. It was quiet there in February. 2 days was about the right amount of time as it is very small.
This town is very quaint, the shopping is ample, the restaurants and bars are easy to navigate and open late. The marina is beautiful, and the locals are very kind. It’s a little more spread out than the other coastal towns, so I recommend staying in city center or right on Praia de Faro. The beaches and islands are absolutely stunning and they offer a ferry to most or private tours.

This is a super clean, spacious, modern villa just outside of Faro and only 9 minutes from the airport. Very easy to find. The owners were wonderful! They met us at the property and were very accommodating and willing to help however they could to make our stay memorable. The place has all amenities needed and then some! This was rented for a weekend golf trip and it could not have been better. It was one of the best places I’ve stayed in all Europe, and this is saying a lot because I travel a ton and nearly always use booking.com.

When we entered Sunlight House the place was refreshing and sweet scented ! We were greeted by Telmo and brought to our room. He was very informative about the ancient village of Faro. The economy room we had was lovely. Quaint and modern. The bed was really comfy and we slept well. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace breakfast. It was a lovely continental breakfast. On the terrace we talked to two lovely couples also staying at Sunlight House. All of these aspects made our stay at Sunlight house most enjoyable !

Amazing rooftop bar/pool/restaurant. Great location right in the centre of Faro with amazing views across the marina. Easily the best hotel/bar in Faro. Staff were extremely polite and helpful and the room was modern, clean and well maintained. The beach club is a shirt free shuttle ride from the hotel and is amazing. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very friendly and kind staff, cannot imagine to have better. Not luxury but very clean and confortable rooms. We only had breakfast in the mornings for €12 and it was good and rich for us. Maybe the biggest hotel on beach but not too big, not crowed at all. Everything what you need for a marvellous holiday is in the close vicinity of the property. Good value for money!!

It was very spacious, clean, comfortable, great interior design taste. The staff was very attentive, in particular Orlando. The welcome wine bottle was a great touch! Walking distance to many beautiful sites and we appreciated the offer to book us a trip to the dessert island. Thank you for a great stay in Faro. We will be back!

I typically don't leave reviews, but the service at the Luxury Beach House was one of a kind!!! Not only was the hotel beautiful, comfortable and very well located on the beach, but each staff member was kinder than the next. They definitely demonstrated excellence in service!

This is the third time we have stayed at Hotel Eva and as always the room, food and staff were excellent. The amount of choice available for breakfast is superb and a great way to start the day. It's not the cheapest hotel in Faro but in my opinion it's worth every penny.

A clean, modern, quiet airport hotel, within walking distance of Faro airport (500 metres beyond the car parks). There is a bus stop nearby to get into Faro city. Staff are friendly, speak English, and were helpful. There is a restaurant nearby.

Very good location. Just the name translation in Chinese was bit wired (I use Chinese version Booking.com). The Chinese translated as Faro Central Hotel, this caused bit confusing for finding hotel.

It's my 2nd stay here. I love the terrace where you can BBQ or relax/sunbathe/watch the sunrise etc...especially being a plane lover. You can watch the planes coming into Faro. I also must say a big Obrigada to the female member of staff who checked me in on 19 April.I just learnt of a Death of a friend in Portugal ...she translated. Thank you for the hug&your kind support xx

90% of hotels, apartments etc. have inexpensive beds that result in a poor nights sleep. This is not the case with Lemon Tree House. Their beds are excellent and a big part of why we decided to return to Faro and Lemon Tree House.
